Hi can anyone tell me what possible cause of whining from front nearside of a 1995 lwb N/A just passed MOT with flying colours so ruling out wheel bearing im thinking clutch it only happens when car is cold and seems to increase with the revs cant see anything obvious, any clues would be a help.

  2. Hi Guys, I`ve seen somewhere some black faced indiglo dials for the zed, I quite like the white but i think the black would suit my car better, unless you have seen some really nice ones out there, any pic`s/websites please. Also I want some chrome ring`s to go around the dials, anyone got any?? Cheers Daz.

Today I started building a real nice double din centre console for my new kenwood bluetooth phone satnav jobby as well as my EDFN switch. Because of the shape of the two inserts its actually quite tricky to get a perfectly flush fit, so I completely removed both sockets and have fiberglassed all the gaps and am in the process of countersinking and filling the front so it has a dead smooth look with a countersunk stereo trim so it will look mint. I will post some pictures when it is done and im thinking of making 4 gauge pods to go on the top over the vents as well.

Hello everyone.. Hope you are enjoying your Zs with your roofs off. I sure have been as the sun has been out the past few days down London..:) What I want to know is what people with aftermarket side mounts have done to their bumpers to allow the air to flow through to the coolers right. I have got Pace side mounts which are very big compared to the stocks and a big portion of them is hidden due to the bumper I have on. The pick up and boost of the car has been sluggish at times and I always felt (the past 2 years that she has been on the road especially) that the car has got more excitement to give with a few niggles done here and there. So last night I bothered t…

  9. Ok so heres an update: '91 NA 300zx: hesitation problems, erratic idle and stalling. - Disconnected maf made no difference other than a slightly higher erratic idle. - Cold ambient air makes the problem worse. (less than 5c) - No air leaks found. - PCV valves are pretty clean (replaced one with a new one). - Throttle bodies cleaned. - Touching the coolant temp sensor connector would increase revs, this was fixed by cleaning the connector. - Hesitation mostly gone and in most cases car accelerates faster than it ever has in my ownership. - Car no longer stalls and hesitation cure might be because of the warmer weather? New …

Had my Z 3yrs now & luckily not had many probs with it. I'm thinking of doing some cosmetic work in summer (respray etc) but before I do that wanted to make sure it's mechanically sound. Want to get some new roof rubbers for it as well so was thinking of combining it all into one trip to zedworld / zcentre or similar. Just wanted advise on what's recommended to get checked out? I don't have any problems with it, runs smooth etc but just want to make sure it's all ship shape before I make it look pretty. I was thinking of starting with a compression test.. any suggestions??
