Hey guys, Just purchased my 300zx today but as I was driving it back it cut out. Started up again and then cut out!!! It has just been imported and has devices that I havent a clue about like an Apexi air converter and a blitz e sbc boost controller scrambler. I believe these are not set up correctly and are the cause of it cutting out. When you get in higher gears, it runs fine. But it tends to die when you boost in 2nd and 3rd. Im sorry if I seem dumb on this subject but im totaly new to this car and in a bit of a panic!!!!

Well after painting my spare wing in olive drab, I'd noticed a few things has slightly touched it whilst it was in the garage, and had marked it badly, so that was out the window. The original red paint was multicoloured and was beyond polishing in some areas so I decided ages ago to change it. I chose a simple colour, and thought I'd start by painting up the spare JDM spec rear bumper I had to replace the damaged UK one on the car. At this stage I just cant afford a bodyshop respray so here goes lol... Good old trusty Simoniz white gloss... with hellfrauds lacquer :whistling: its gonna be a couple of months until its all ready as theres some bodywork issue…

Well i went away yesterday and got this:D! ... ... ... Set of yesterday at 11am to the airport for my flight to belfast and got the 5pm ferry to scotland then a 2 hour drive home. Not had a chance to get some nice photos of the car myself as i got home late, so planning on goin ga nice long drive down the coast today and hopefully take some photos along the way. What can i say i personally think i got a cracking car and a price i was happy to pay. The body work is very clean and there is no rust from what i could see as i stuck my head right under and prodded around. Im very pleased with the performance and handling of the car, …

Love em or hate em, these arrived from Luke at the Z-Centre today, I`m just waiting for my chrome bezel rings to turn up and then attach back in the vert. They change colour too from green to blue with a dimmer!!! I have connected them to a 12v supply to illuminate, but not connected the car loom, so the needles wont illuminate till in the car, but you get the general effect  Hope you like. :hammer:

Am sure they won't of had one last night tho as the tosser had dropped a wrap of cocaine by the side of the car door (wrapped in a bank reciept, lol) Shame it had been raining, as the print on it had gone it just had the LOYDS TSB heading left on it. I always put V-power in my Z but the other day my local Shell had completely run dry of it. There's a BP up the road, so I put a tenner of Ultimate in the tank to tide me over (for a day!) until the V-Power was back. but oddly enough I found myself being careful with the boost today just because I had mainly 97 in the tank. am I just being over-cautious (running about 17.5psi) and is 97 pretty much ok to use with the majority of Zs?

Just a few quickies! Wheels: How tight do people torque their nuts too? Oil: How much oil would it take, approximately, to raise the oil level from 'low' to 'high' on the clairvoyant divining rod... oops... I mean dipstick? :turned: Oil: Do people usually break in an oil change over x many miles? Sure I read something along those lines whilst browsing forum ... Bodywork: The front badge panel, is it a little wonky on all zeds, or does it just require a little adjustment? Changed my oil on the weekend for some 10w40 mobil 1 super s, all sounds a lot smoother. But what exactly is the knack to reading the dipstick? Is it a best out of 5 affair? This is …

Some beautiful shots of a recently resprayed swb zed in the OEM original Pearlglow yellow. I think it looks fantastic, well in these shots anyways. The photographer says that he believes that it was a premium option available only in 1990. Now I know I'm dreaming again, but when I consider that mine was originally this colour and it is a 1990 model, would it possibly be a better option to go back to the original colour rather than a black respray, leave the original bumper, forget about a 99 spec rear spoiler and forget about the 99 spec rearlight cluster. With the exception of the wheels, there is very little that doesn't look well in these images. Anybody agree?
