I got japspeed muffler, and was looking to change to something quieter. We did discuss the mongoose/blue flame as an alternative before. But I am tempted with the X-Force Varex. Is this a wise move. I just think that with the valve shut your gonna lose some power. Does anyone think their system is any good?

I have now put in some reconditioned series 1 seats in my series 5 The plug connected straight in and the electrics on the new seats work fine. (I had manual before) Now the seat belt warning light stays on all the time. I was wondering whether the series 1 ZX had a seat belt warning light on the instrument cluster. And if it didn't this is why my llight now remains on all the time. Or do i need to do some jiggery pokery with the wiring under the seat to sort.

hi all . i purchased some relocation brackets advertised as fitting 324 mm discs. now the person didnt realise that they were for 324 GTR R33 discs not 350z discs so the offset on the caliper is wrong. also having purchased some spunky 324 mm 350z discs it would be a shame to have them just sitting there looking pretty. cheers gaz

i have put some 18" alloys on my z which i am very happy with the look but i am wondering if the rear tyre footprint is to wide for a swb! they are 265 wide and in the wet all i can say is they are dangerous! the dry the car sticks like shit to a blanket. i know the tyres arnt a good make but i was trying to do a bit of research before i spunk out on some new rubber. i was planning on going for falken fk452's as i have had them before on my old 17" alloys but any reviews on other tyres greatly appreciated. calling all swb owners what tyres do you use and do you have any problems in the wet with 265 or over width tyres. thank you gaz

I have the anti lock warning light coming up on my dash every time I go out, I presume this means an ABS sensor is playing up. Can anyone confirm this is probably the case, if not what other reasons are there and if so how can I tell which sensor (I presume there is one on each wheel) is playing up? Thank you all for any help or suggestions offer ... ... ...:thumbup:

Graham on the FAQ site, you posted a pdf of the colour codes and stats. May I ask if the figures of the numbers of cars was for a particular market such as export, or for the production line. I just saw the number of slicktops in 1990 was 62. If that is the actual production line then I have one quite rare model and the overall numbers of slicktops is even rarer than that of the convertibles. Somehow though I have a feeling that there were more produced between 89 and 96. Wikipedia says that the following are the production numbers : 1989–2000 (1990–1996 in U.S) number produced: 164,170 (for export: 99,286) (for JDM: 64,884)

Guys I will be very surprised if anyone can help with these but worth a try. Today we ran the main feed from the tank in the back to the engine bay. Now you have to tap into the fuel rail for high pressure fuel for the system. First question As I have 300 degree fuel rails do I drill and tap a hole into where one of the partially threaded blank holes are. I believe they are for fuel temp sensor but there are two as they are designed identical for each side?. Reason I ask is they look very close to the edge of the rails and maybe you need to drill and tap a completely new hole?. Second question Where on earth did you mount your solenoids f…

as this car is only 15 mins from my house, i keep getting bits off it, front fogs, fuse box covers, small things like that. most recently i got the sun visors as they are better than mine and have the flap over the mirror on the pass side. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-FAIRLADY-300ZX-3-0-1993-Breaking-4-Spares_W0QQitemZ270547894543QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3efde9410f on talking to the breakers yard owner he tells me, it broke down in London, then it was lifted off the streets and then the owner never claimed it from a compound. he bought it of course complete as it stood for only £175.00, he had to go down for it though and bri…

any body fairly close to lowestoft with datascan or conzult that i could plug into???? the z is running a bit off when cold, rough idle and doesnt seem to have hardly any reaction to the throttle - boost gauge goes up a bit but doesnt hardly move, as soon as its warmed up or if left to warm fully the problem doesnt happen, had the butterfly valves cleaned out, changed the spark plugs and had a check over for leaks. could do with plugging in to see what it says?? any other ideas of what i could try???

Would a fiat punto turbo, supposedly done up to the nines. beat a 300zx twin turbo? i know its lighter. but from what I've seen so far. the top BHP for the punto is around 450BHP at stage 2 obviously weight is going to play a major factor too on this one.

You were northbound, from Northampton to Kettering and waved. Looked tidy but was only a quick look as I saw you pretty late.

Quick question, My zed has been lowered by 2" , now can someone who knows how the original suspension is set up, tell me the way or ways it might have been done. I would look under it if i could get my head under the car, and in any case, i probably wouldn't know what i was looking for.. Cheers Rich

Hi Guys, I've seen a lot of post enquiring how to swap a auto box with a manual one, now, if there was a car with a manual box who wanted an auto, is it a case of just swapping them over, or are extra parts required. Thanks Rich
