hi all, out of curiosity, does anyone know the whereabouts of my old red zed? it was written off, J3xxUBM... it had 99 spec rear lights, spoiler, front bumper, nismo bushes, r33 brembos, hids, etc.... cheers!

I should spend more time working on my car and less time on the internet, would be cheaper that way as I seem to be buying stuff and fitting not a lot! So what parts have you been gathering? I currently have the following ready to fit: Apexi AVCR boost controller Apexi Rev Speed Meter Apexi Super Air Flow Converter Z1 Lightweight Flywheel Exedy Paddle Clutch A pillar trim (2 pods) Prosport Boost Gauge Prosport Air/Fuel Gauge Braided Clutch Hose Mine's ECU and a nitous kit in about a week lol :clap:

Hi folk, Was driving home today and the steering wheel started juddering, getting faster when i speed up. Lasted about 5min then went away. Also the brake pedal seemed to be soft and needed pumped when ever i stopped. This is the 2nd time its happened but weeks apart. Any ideas? Cheers Dillon :sad:

I always thought the main beam bulb was a H1, i went to put in my new H1 bulbs and my old bulb has 3 prongs, H4. Does anyone else have a similar problem.

been looking at the polishing threads by the andy's etc and am going to try this myself as i am fairly practical. now i can see the tools needed but i dont understand half of them what do the numbers referred to as 80, 100, 120 mean? is it grade or thickness? also if i am going to be polishing alot of metal (including plenum) i can see some bench polishers for around £60 but they are only 200w, will this be enough? also i have a dremel but not got any of the attachments but my worry is that the dremel will keep stopping as they are small and not too powerful... would a power drill with the attachments be ok? do i start of with 80 or 120? i kn…

Disconnect the waist gate on my turbos, will it stop them pumping smoke into the exhaust as my drivers side turbo only kicks out smoke when on boost. so i can get it through its MOT and get the car TAX? then i can sort out the turbo at a later date. reason i ask, is i had two police around my car today. and when i asked if everything was ok, they informed me that the housing association who kindly housed me recently. has given DVLA permission to clamp and remove untaxed cars. and i need to either get the car moved. or garaged quick. So, im now in the process of getting a garage sorted out. BUTTTT would ideally like it to be taxed and MOT'ed then i can work on the oth…

Hi All, Just had my new oil pump delivered, ACL bearings due in tomorrow.So will be starting in the next few days to start the process of replacing my crank , bearings and oil pump. Any advise on carrying out this work will be much appreciated.My brother-in-law (mechanic) will assist as and when I need him but will be trying to do most of the donkey work myself as he's very busy.I will be letting him replace cambelt etc !!!!!!. Please can any one advise other stuff I may need to complete work I need to do the job gaskets/etc/etc. Generally any info/help whatsoever please. Thanks:helpsmilie:

starting work on my car on easter weekend however i wish to be able to do a little bit now and try to move it into the garage. problem is it is stuck in Park and the battery is flat. For some reason the interlocker clip on the side of the shifter is missing on mine and so cant release the lock. how else (without starting the car) can i shift the car into neutral so i can push it into my garage? any ideas would be of great help as i cant move it at the moment and the water meter man said its under my car which left me with a letter stating how i refused access (i didnt refuse i just mentioned i cant move it at the meantime) is there anything i can use l…

I have put the datascan on and still have the code 34 with 0 starts. Does the cable that goes down towards the back of the block towards the actually end up at the sensor. is it deffo the female con. that goes to the ECU ?

Is there anywhere in the UK they could sell this part? My car has had a squeeky brake for a while now, so hopefully tomorrow I will be putting some copper grease on to sort that out. The car has also developed another squeeking noise... It mainly occures when warmed up and when going slowly round a corner (mainly when I turn left).The sounds is not a gringing noise but like a 2 parts moving against each other without any oil or grease on them. It can also be felt throught the streering wheel. Any ideas ?

HI Guys, My car has has a problem since i bought it with Knocking. It only happens to the left front wheel when on right hand lock? Doesn't happen at all on left hand lock. My first thought is drop links. Anyone got any other suggestions? Cheers Peter

Swapped my N/A for a 1990 twin turbo, and had it running today, noticed that the left hand side turbo is leaking water, but there doesn't seem to be any coolent in the water??? Even though I've given it fresh coolent change today? Also although the drivers side is smoking, it doest seem as though it's the oil seals on the turbo as it doesn't smell of burnt oil? Can the water seals in the turbo go? Also it looks like it's still got the original exhuast on from 20 years ago, and when revved, spits out crap loads of water out of both pipes, it was that bad you could here it gurggling on idle, good thing is it holds it's temp and doesn't over heat, can't work out how s…

Hi I can not find for the life of me that thread about a member who made a turbo conversion to a Z where the turbo was placed to the rear of the car, first kind in the UK or something like that? Need your help please. :helpsmilie: Does anyone know what this connector is for in the Pic. Mine is broken and I cannot trace where the end goes, But my car starts and drive well without it. Just a quick question about HID lights. I'm wanting a set and the seller is asking which bulb is it for H1 H7 etc . Thought I would get a quote for car insurance from adrain flux yesterday. Would you believe the quote is £5115.72 OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! Im 24 (25 in 4months) with 2 years ncb which is on my bmw and a clean license. Obviously its a second car and minimum miles and a low evaluation. Now I know im young and its an import but my insurance renewal was £950 when I took the car off the road in august 09. Any reason for this high price? Are there any recomended places to try?

Guys just wondering if a guide as such exsists for what to dial in on the camber, toe, etc. I have read through the guide on the FAQ's (http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=95683) and although helpfull doesn't give anything specific for a Zed. I am guessing that the settings listed in the FAQ's are just a rough guide? Would be great if anyone had a setup written down, cars running 30mm & 50mm lowered front and rear, if that helps. Cars booked in for Friday to have it all done. Any help appreciated H.
