My car seems to tick over high when started, (choke probably), but takes ages to settle down, then when it does I am idling about 1050. Anything I can check to get this right please?

When considering an upgrade clutch the last thing many owners would be thinking about is any early demise of the unit. Check out the pics below of a very poorly RPS clutch plate recently removed from a twin turbo, there had been clutch judder and poor clearance from day one of the install, but eventually a failing gearbox ( noisy in neutral ) forced a gearbox change and hence the clutch been revealed. The bell housing was full of clutch material so early in the strip down it was clear something was amiss, the clutch pedal bite was very high and it was no surprise to see this, however the cause was. Once the gearbox was remo…

I have a set of evo calipers and was wondering where to get the braided brake lines from and which ones I need? I know some people out there have these so it would be interesting to know what you're using. Cheers, Ant

Was just at the car, and its now running rough. its running that rough its causing the body to shake noticeably. its losing water, although there is a leak on the left of the engine from what looks like its coming from the turbo water feed. its also smoking white smoke, that doesn't smell of anything but burnt petrol fumes and my coolant doesn't smell for some reason. I also popped open the oil cap and noticed that its got mayo on the inside edge. yet none on the dip stick. I am at a loss to the cause, as it was running nice and smooth yesterday. but then when my golf HG failed, that went very quickly between pistons 2 and 3 and also caused the engine to shake t…

need some advice fitting delimiter to back of speedo head, bought delimiter from meht, but no wiring instructions.connections listed on back of unit are red +, green earth ,yellow kmh input, and blue mph output. so on the back of speedo what is the signal wire from gearbox, i would guess this should be cut and linked to the yellow and blue wires. i think sensor wire is yellow with green trace but there are a few like that in connetor bloc, dont want to snip wrong one. cheers guys

I got japspeed muffler, and was looking to change to something quieter. We did discuss the mongoose/blue flame as an alternative before. But I am tempted with the X-Force Varex. Is this a wise move. I just think that with the valve shut your gonna lose some power. Does anyone think their system is any good?

I have now put in some reconditioned series 1 seats in my series 5 The plug connected straight in and the electrics on the new seats work fine. (I had manual before) Now the seat belt warning light stays on all the time. I was wondering whether the series 1 ZX had a seat belt warning light on the instrument cluster. And if it didn't this is why my llight now remains on all the time. Or do i need to do some jiggery pokery with the wiring under the seat to sort.

  23. hi all . i purchased some relocation brackets advertised as fitting 324 mm discs. now the person didnt realise that they were for 324 GTR R33 discs not 350z discs so the offset on the caliper is wrong. also having purchased some spunky 324 mm 350z discs it would be a shame to have them just sitting there looking pretty. cheers gaz

  24. i have put some 18" alloys on my z which i am very happy with the look but i am wondering if the rear tyre footprint is to wide for a swb! they are 265 wide and in the wet all i can say is they are dangerous! the dry the car sticks like shit to a blanket. i know the tyres arnt a good make but i was trying to do a bit of research before i spunk out on some new rubber. i was planning on going for falken fk452's as i have had them before on my old 17" alloys but any reviews on other tyres greatly appreciated. calling all swb owners what tyres do you use and do you have any problems in the wet with 265 or over width tyres. thank you gaz

I have the anti lock warning light coming up on my dash every time I go out, I presume this means an ABS sensor is playing up. Can anyone confirm this is probably the case, if not what other reasons are there and if so how can I tell which sensor (I presume there is one on each wheel) is playing up? Thank you all for any help or suggestions offer ... ... ...:thumbup:
