Hi, every probably 3rd or 4th time i start her, or try to start her, she wont, and floods, if i remove plugs 1-4 (as the others are a pain) they are soaking wet, dry them off, put em back in and she starts perfectly (well, after a few seconds to dry the other 2 out)... What could be causing it to flood? Cheers.... Tudor.

hi was wondering if any one knows about fitting a greddy profec b or similar boost controller to a Z? as thought they only controlled 1 solenoid? im really confused by this as surely you dont need 2.... that and i found 2 manual bleed valves on my new Z and they have got to go asap, that and how do Z's respond to atmospheric dump valves, as i think one of my recuircs is starting to go, and was thinking of a pair of HKS ones, but if they are anything like s13's every time the valve goes the car runs rich and smokes slightly, i tried it on 4 different S13's with 3 Different valves and it was the AFM causing trouble.... and does anyone have any recommen…

Although I have little history, I believe my jap as done roughly 75k. I have looked at my belts and they all seem to be Bando branded and I have visited their website, seems a very reputable company. http://bandousa.com/html/automotive.html You can search and the zed comes up. So I conclude that they have all been changed together at some point as they must of all been genuine nissan stamped from new, I will guess they have all been done at around 50k? As a rule genuine belts are the way to go but does anyone have experience of these Bando belts? Nissan don't do belts, they build cars, so belts must be sourced from somewhere and just then…

Well another day and another goal for me in my quest to know everything about my zeds!! I`m lucky enough to have 2 scrappers to practice on, so then eventually i can do most tasks to fix my car. So on Saturday in the pis*ing rain i once agian jacked the car up on axel stands and attempted to remove prop shaft, auto box and then the engine!! For those who have a little mechanical knowhow i had a fuc*** nightmare! I rounded one of the 4 bolts that attaches the flywheel to the tourqe converter!! and it took me over 3 hours to get it off, i had to cut the bellhousing and then angle grind the bolt off :scared: luckily i have a goosed auto box so i can use the be…

Hi All I've just had my car MOTd and it failed on the rear fog lights not working properly. It is a 1992 convertible which I have owned for about 5 years. It has passed all previous MOTs without issue. The problem is that I have never used the lights so I don't know how they should work and exactly which lights should light up. Added to that, I had a replacement rear bumper fitted this year so I guess it's possible that the cabling was affected then. My car has two fog light switches - one (1) on the right hand pod and a second (2) one (c/w orange indicator lamp) under the instrument cluster to the left of the steering wheel. Can anyone help with these question…

right... first of all, as i think the 2 problems are linked, when i floor it after about 10 to 30 seconds it sort of completly cuts out, doesent stall though, when it does this i just lift the pedal slightly and then it keep accelarating, (obviously not as quick as my foot is not completly on the floor) now the second problem is something that's only happened twice as it only really does it after been running for about 2 hours or so, it basically starts kangarooing, loosing power on and off and eventually stoping altogether, then it just turns over and dosent fire up at all, dosent even try!! then approx half an hour after it starts first turn of the key, no …

hi to all. car starting instantly when cold. also fine when hot. but if left unstarted for 15 plus minutes when hot -then the problem occurs. will not start except after 5 to 10 seconds turn over. sometimes, for no apparent reason, its ok -but mostly the problem is there. car cools right down and hey presto its back to normal. have checked : plugs cleaned ptu checked all contacts that i can get to no fuel leaks that i can find / smell temp sender not the end of the world - as oil pressure has a chance of building before ignition- but would be nice to perhaps deal with once and for all. any advice would be great. regards cris

The front tension rod bushes on my zed are OK at the moment, but getting a little baggy. Its on my to do list shall we say. I believe that you can only buy the entire arm and not the bush from nissan at vast expensive so standard is out of the question. So I have two options, either a complete new adjustable arm of which I have found thsi sort of thing: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-FAIRLADY-VQ30DETT-FRONT-TENSION-RODS_W0QQitemZ160379096248QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item255756ccb8 Or I get aftermarket poly bushes and have them fitted into the rods. Does anyone have any experience with either of the above? …

I`ve noticed prices are on there way up, and the British market normally follows the American market, so lets hope our cars will be worth what we think they are worth. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290414323481&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT

:confused1: In the repair manual, section EF & EC , Page 151, Diagnostic procedure 39 under “A – Check power supply” it says when checking voltage between fuel pump connector terminal "A" and ground Battery Voltage indication should appear for 1 second after turning ignition switch "ON" Has anyone had it that the Battery voltage indication appears and then stays there? Instead of going off the voltage stays there permanently and goes up to almost 14 Volt when the engine is running. As always, any ideas are greatly appreciated. Cheers Maz

I have some rear R33 GTR Brembos to go on my car, I want to do a double check on fitment issues before attempting this. I believe these do simply bolt on, although I have read that the bolt threads are different so does anyone know if this is true and what bolts I will need? Also the calipers did not come with any brake lines, I have rear braided lines on the car at the moment which go from the car to the standard rear z32 caliper, will these be okay? Or do I need a hybrid line from "nissan to brembo" or what? I have a place that can make me the lines no problem, im just not sure what should be on each end! I've just bought some new pads, and the discs that…
