hi to all. car starting instantly when cold. also fine when hot. but if left unstarted for 15 plus minutes when hot -then the problem occurs. will not start except after 5 to 10 seconds turn over. sometimes, for no apparent reason, its ok -but mostly the problem is there. car cools right down and hey presto its back to normal. have checked : plugs cleaned ptu checked all contacts that i can get to no fuel leaks that i can find / smell temp sender not the end of the world - as oil pressure has a chance of building before ignition- but would be nice to perhaps deal with once and for all. any advice would be great. regards cris

The front tension rod bushes on my zed are OK at the moment, but getting a little baggy. Its on my to do list shall we say. I believe that you can only buy the entire arm and not the bush from nissan at vast expensive so standard is out of the question. Going to sound proof the intereior of the car ,floor extra , has any one done this and if so did it make much diffrence to road noise extra , going to use brown bread insolation ,

:confused1: In the repair manual, section EF & EC , Page 151, Diagnostic procedure 39 under “A – Check power supply” it says when checking voltage between fuel pump connector terminal "A" and ground Battery Voltage indication should appear for 1 second after turning ignition switch "ON" Has anyone had it that the Battery voltage indication appears and then stays there? Instead of going off the voltage stays there permanently and goes up to almost 14 Volt when the engine is running. As always, any ideas are greatly appreciated. Cheers Maz

I have some rear R33 GTR Brembos to go on my car, I want to do a double check on fitment issues before attempting this. I believe these do simply bolt on, although I have read that the bolt threads are different so does anyone know if this is true and what bolts I will need? Also the calipers did not come with any brake lines, I have rear braided lines on the car at the moment which go from the car to the standard rear z32 caliper, will these be okay? Or do I need a hybrid line from "nissan to brembo" or what? I have a place that can make me the lines no problem, im just not sure what should be on each end! My car seems to tick over high when started, (choke probably), but takes ages to settle down, then when it does I am idling about 1050. Anything I can check to get this right please?

When considering an upgrade clutch the last thing many owners would be thinking about is any early demise of the unit. Check out the pics below of a very poorly RPS clutch plate recently removed from a twin turbo, there had been clutch judder and poor clearance from day one of the install, but eventually a failing gearbox ( noisy in neutral ) forced a gearbox change and hence the clutch been revealed. Was just at the car, and its now running rough. its running that rough its causing the body to shake noticeably. its losing water, although there is a leak on the left of the engine from what looks like its coming from the turbo water feed. its also smoking white smoke, that doesn't smell of anything but burnt petrol fumes and my coolant doesn't smell for some reason. I also popped open the oil cap and noticed that its got mayo on the inside edge. yet none on the dip stick. need some advice fitting delimiter to back of speedo head,bought delimiter from meht,but no wiring instructions.connections listed on back of unit are red +, green earth ,yellow kmh input,and blue mph output. so on the back of speedo what is the signal wire from gearbox, i would guess this should be cut and linked to the yellow and blue wires. i think sensor wire is yellow with green trace but there are a few like that in connetor bloc, dont want to snip wrong one. cheers guys

I ,ve got a complete manual conversion to fit one day soon , included was this section of loom but where does it go ? i,m also fitting a replacement manual engine loom as well rather than modding the auto loom so this section of loom will be used, any pics would really help !! TA !

got z back on the road last month all has been fine until about the last week now i turn the key in the ignition and it takes what would seem a age to fire up some times starts first turn of the key but rare. does not matter if the engine is hot or not. have a new battery checked voltages, cleaned ptu only thing i aint changed is the spark plugs any ideas?
