There is one beautiful Zed being built in the US. Its a wide arch and on his concept on page 1, I just wonder has he taken inspiration from any members car on here? One in particular springs into my mind, even though there may be a difference in lenght http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3056793

Pics would be nice Cheers Daz.

Hi all, A few weeks ago i noticed that my car would make a humming noise just as i approached 3,000 rpm and then it would go as i carried on up the rev range. This has now got a bit more prominent! Is it possibly a wheel beaaring? it seems like its coming from the left rear ( thats the side that i have noticed that my tyre is wearing on the inside ) Any ideas are welcome. Dan.

LOL… could someone please direct me to the idiots guide for door card removal….. I had a go the other day (with how hard could it be, on my mind) but was flummoxed and gave up. I’ve searched and looked in the Service manual and the how to’s but can’t get a clear picture/instructions…. Cheers….

Good Afternoon Folks I have a 1995 300ZX Fairlady TT Automatic with 60K on the clock. Over the last number of months the car has developed the following problem. On occassions when I switch the ignition on the engine makes no attempt to turn over. Generally if you switch the ignition off and try again in a few minutes the car will start. However yesterday it would not start at all. I removed the battery and replaced it with another one from my brothers car. Still no joy. All the electrics are working but no attempt is being made to turn the engine over (no sound for starter motor). Any help greatly appreciated. :confused1:

Hi all, I've been considering this for a while and finally decided this morning that I will sell the Z. A really difficult decision but my baby is due in 3-4 weeks so I need both the cash as well as the space in the driveway! I will definitely get another Z though, probably in 6 months time, when things have settled down. The Z is a 1993 NA Manual in Pearlescent White, which I bought in June last year, so had it almost 9 months. It's been absolutely fantastic and I use it as a daily driver. Although it's a Nissan, I did not expect it to be as reliable as my wife's Micra. It is even more reliable! I have attached photos of the Z, and as you can see, it is ab…

Hi guys 300zx Fairlady, 1991, J reg, Jap import, 90,000km I have a problem with my alternator and had to call the AA out the other day because the beast wouldn't start, although it had been fine 20 minutes beforehand. It's a problem I've had in the past several times. The AA guy put a meter onto the battery (sorry, not technical here :)) and told me that it should read somewhere between 12 and 14. It was fine when just the engine was running, dipped when he switched on the headlights and dipped even further to 10.8 when he put on the rear window heater and air con. He told me that the alternator is faulty and that I should avoid using anything other t…

Yep it's me again with another strange one, but does anyone near me do windscreen removal? I have found a very good guide writen by someone in the industry and although I feel confident enough to get the old glass out with out damaging it, it's doing the job properly enough when putting glass back in to make sure it doesn't leak and doesn't fall out 6 months down the line that I'm a bit concerned about.

Hello peeps, I just drove home from work and tried booting up the dual carriage way and the car seemed really under powered (boost gauge indicated full boost) and then a warning light came on.... i think it was the cat overheating warning light... It came on for a couple of seconds, then went out, i was then obviously driving super gently, it came on again for a second or so then went out again, then stayed off till i got home. Car sounds fine, was running perfect this morning, should i be worried? and what do i need to do? I guess that if i get a new de catted exhaust would this solve things? Thanks guys, any advice would be greatly appreciated. p

  21. Started by Al's on 19s,

I'm looking for suggestions for replacements for my front brakes, currently running standard Brembo discs and mintex 1144 pads but these have now expired. I'm not looking for a big brake upgrade as my pockets are not that deep (I had considered selling the car until very recently) and I have had a look at what Dan sells as I trust him. The car doesn't have a lot of use, maybe 3000 miles a year max but I have the chance of doing a trackday next month so would like something that would survive a day (ish) of abuse. being a track day virgin I doubt very much whether I would be pushing it that hard anyway. Your thoughts please.

Anyone got experience of renting a Garage/workshop space ? - Where/how would I find one available and what sort of costs ? Not after anything like an Industrial unit, they are all longterm leases, too big and subsequently too expensive. But after something more extensive than your typical single car garage. no idea where such things are advertised.

Well ive at last finished changing my exhaust, from a mongoose cat back to a complete stainless japspeed system with decats. The fit is near perfect with the wings west rear end. And has the look i was after. plus new O2 sensors. The sound is awesome but not to over the top. On tick over its a nice rumble, driving, its very deep, and on full chat it sounds the nuts. Even made a pensioner at a zebra crossing shout "Noisy hooligan" lol Didnt mind i was only pulling away. Will do some pics and a vid when ive finshed my new interior.

I heard on here that you can remove at least one of the tubs with out removing the engine from the car? anyone know what side this is? And do you have to remove the whole engine or just raise it enough to get at the tubs?
