right looks like i will be getting a manual n/a zed as a doner car. i can get plenty of info on here on how to do it so thats ok, what i want to know though, 1) is there much, or any really, difference in the gear ratios from that of a n/a to a tt as my car is a tt. if there is should i swap the rear diff around too incase thats different aswell?? also 2) im going to get an uprated n/a clutch for obvious reasons, but is there anything else i need to change whilst the box is off. 3) anything i can get rid of altogether?, for example are there stuff for the auto box not required for the manual box? thanks for any info guys and im sorry if these qu…

Hi all, I have my blitz bov's on hard pipes but i have noticed that my recircs are also connected. I have the vacum line coming out of the manifold it then has a y piece which splits, one going to the dump valve and the other going to the recirc. Would i be able to get rid of the y piece and just have the line going from the manifold straigt to the dump valve? and just leave the old recircs in place... bearing in mind that the diaphram on the old recircs will only allow air out under load... no load no air leak ? so will they be able to stay in situ ? Thanks. Dan.

I popped out in the Zed today, was parking up in Milton Keynes city centre and a guy starts rushing towards my car, sort of waving his arms. Doesn't look like a carjacker so I wasn't worried, he reaches to open my door but I manage to open it and get out before he does, keys in my pocket. Turns out he just wanted to congratulate me on having such a "beautiful car". He thought it was fantastic! It absolutely made my day  In other news, I love my Zed! It's so much fun on the dry roads we've had recently!

Has anyone noticed lately that there is hardly anything for sale on ebay compared to what there used to be? Not just car stuff but everything.. Like camping mats, this time last year there would be 100's now there is hardly anything, same with other things. When i was listing some my car parts there wasnt much other stuff availible. Well i wonder why?? This is why i guess... I sold something on ebay for about £200 Ebay and paypal took off me about £28 for the sale of that item. £28 off £200 is crazy!! They have put their fees up and relists have now changed also. Keeping in mind ebay and paypal are the same company it is criminal. So…

I have sold allot of my parts now. I keep getting asked about my parts for sale and some have gone which i get asked about. I have updated parts sold in the for sale section with "Sold Please can a mod amend the tittle." on the last post by me. Could a mod please change the title but wouldnt mind leaving the thread open incase anyone has any questions about the parts as i will be more than happy to answer. There are parts i still have for sale: Ebay Items: Defi Heads up Display 2 watches. Blitz Dump valves with all 4 hard pipes 2 watches also, however these are listed on the site cheaper and i will honor the price on here to club members as…

Hi, Has anyone performed gasket matching or porting (grinding away the material to match the gasket openings) on the above, I have seen a lot of folks in the US do this (and I have my plenum off still currently so..) I am tempted to Gasket Match the plenum to lower plenum and open up while it is off giving me th eoption to add bigger TB's later. But then is there any point if I don't then match the lower plenum to the heads?:crying: My feeling is that it won't make any discernible difference to the performance of my car due to the restrictions/limitation of the actual plenum itself. And that any real benefit would only be felt by those of you who are in the 5…

Got a few days of work, so decide to change my exhaust, to the complete stainless system i bought from Madmax. To start on on the passenger side, as i thought it was the worst. Since my zed was built only the boxes have been changed to Mongoose. After getting the pre cat off and getting to the tricky 4 x bolts that held it on, all off, new back box and decat in place. Cant do middle x section till ive done other side Drivers side, 2 nuts at the bottom were only on hand tight, another bolt a bit easier, but the last remaining bolt was a total coont. You have to get your hand between the bulkhead, a heat shield that cant come off due the the nuts are fooked and a weld…

HI All, Just joined the forum and bought my first 300zx over the weekend and have a few silly questions that i'm hoping someone will answer. It's a 1995 300zx fairlady Z with an Auto gearbox. 1- the Auto gearbox has a red plastic peice at the front? what's this for? 2- next to the gearbox is a button that says Power at the top and Hold at the bottom? What does this do? Bear in mind, i've just bought the car and didn't really want to press it not knowing what it did in case you have to do it at a certain time ie: before you engage gear. Changing gears. In an auto normally you can change down gears manually to gain more power to overtake etc. Wit…

Guys Where would you fit a second fuel pump? all I know is that it is in addition to the stock one to provide more volume but other than that I am clueless :sweatdrop:. Its nothing fancy just a 225lph one, I dont have any fancy pressure regulators or anything! Any pointers really appreciated.

Hi Guys Just fitting my new AP brakes, they are massive!! Wondering what's the best way of flushing old brake fluid out. wondered whether to allow all old brake fluid to run out of reservoir and brake lines. Then connect up to new brakes add new fluid in reservoir and pump through, or just keep pumping and topping up reservoir. My concern of allowing all fluid out of brake system is having air trapped. Already have instructions on bleeding brakes. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Regards Kev
