I'm creating a cross reference chart, that i will put into FAQ. Basically i need any info you can provide on what parts from other cars can be used on a 300zx. The format im trying to sort it in to is: Part Required - 300zx Part from - Donor car Location on donor car Member- who has tried and it works. Any modding needed.. Comments - Direct swap / part number if possible Example. 300zx rear number plate bulb cover. Any similar year Micra upto 2000. currently having hicas issues, for some reason at speed, the rear wheel steering activates, now, is there a way to disable the hicas, until i get the driftworks elimination kit.

As per title, noticed a nasty melting plastic smell, and smoke rising from behind my dial housing. undid the screws and lifted off the dials top cover to find my EL inverter sitting there smoking away like a trooper. as it was way to hot to handle i had to let it cool down. its now removed from the car, but it now means my dials no longer light up. Now the EL dials had been playing up recently, not dimming or anything and only being "on" but not very bright. shall i just put this down to it wearing out and just get another or could there be something more sinister at work? Not really keen on spending £25 to replace it, just for it to happen again, but on the ot…

I noticed a vacum pipe off today, just wondered were it goes and whats it for pics below. does it go here, found a little tube, which a pipe could go on. Right, having a major travesty, got car on the lifter, removed exhaust, box, eyc. to remove the EGR and fit my new downpipes, ready to fit, but.... The passenger side turbo bottom oil feed coming straight out the block, has a metal 'block' type elbow/adapter, to which the banjo to the turbo fastens too, the 'block' was never screwed in properly, infact i'm suprised it wasn't leaking, I literally just touched it with a spanner and it popped out. The thread on it is a bit goosed, not only that, I have to remove the ******* turbo as there isn't room to turn it and screw it into the block otherwise.... Anyways, long story short, I'm wondering if there is anyone near…

Hey, I am curious to know how many of you guys if any have issues going over humps while driving the 300zx. I know a guy who has to go sideways on humps cause he is too low, i didnt really want to do that. All humps are HUGE in london! Aj

Picked up my new Zed last night. 60 miles blast from Aylesbury back to Basingstoke and couldnt't stop smiling, I had seriously forgot how ace these cars are. Big thanks to ZX-TT (Craig) top bloke and made the international sale go smoothly. Will try and post up pics later once I've cleaned her and done a couple of jobs. Got loads of parts of my drowned red Zed to put on her but that won't happen till after my 4 week work provided holiday in Brecon !!!!!!!!!

Has Anyone else had a problem with the speedo intimitently working after swoping the dial cluster in an import car to a UK MPH cluster? Once it's working on a journey it's fine, but the time taken to start is totally random. The rev counter works all the time. It's driving me nuts, but i can't tell at what speed!!!! :taz:

Hey Guys, I just got a few doubts and needed some clarification from the experts here :P. I was told that the auto only has 4 gears and that overdrive is the 4th gear? Is this true? If so then auto must have really bad MPG at the higher speeds??

Can anyone tell me if the splines on rear wheel studs are 12 or 13mm, the ones that arrived are 14.1 and don't fit

Trying to fit Eibach lowering springs but if I position the bottom of the spring right up to the lip where the oe one sits and then the top end to the ilp in the rubber same as oe then the the shock won't go back on. THe top and bottom mounts don't line up by about 30-40 degrees. I compared the oe and Eibach spring and they aren't the same, the oe one is a few inches longer, these came off a Z. How do I positon them so the shocks fit???
