  1. I'm not asking for advice on exhausts, can't afford to do anything about it right now and the whole system is in perfect condition, although a bit of a universal DIY jigsaw. It's more of a general rant. lol The general loudness is becoming annoying, I mean its REALLY loud! It's almost like there is no exhaust attached. Its de-catted, though there are some DIY pre-silencers to the rear, but I think these are straight though pipes. At the rear I have two (what I think are universal) back boxes with huge outlets. They look nice, real nice, though massive you can get your fist in there. Flooring it on a motorway sounds beastly, and I like the burble I so…

General consenus feeling really. Is it ok to ram 18 billion watts worth of eletrical hardware into your zed? or does the car lend itself to a more subtle approach that doesnt require so much stuff. IS it rice to ice in your opinion :D my opinion is the zed is focused enough to not need a stero at all. my previous car didnt the pur of the engine and lack of stero made it thjat more special to drive.

opinions and technical bumf appricated. basically i threw some red ex something or other feul injector cleaner throuigh my car that supposed to clean them up and give you better mpg and raise octane numbers. both me and my my father tryed it he has an rx8. after about 200 miles he hit a flat spot followed by alot of crap that came out the rear and since then the car has never driven better, more resposive tec so he says. and i too tbh did have something simular i took it out for a blast crap came out and it ran/runs much better, feels miore responsive etc and seems to produce better acceration higher up the rev range. it also seems to have cured the pulsing i had at full …

Going to be buying a clutch at the end of the month, who do you guys buy them off so I can get a rought price? will be upping power in time so want a clutch that can handle it, not uprating turbos, so what ever you can get out of a stock motor and turbos but will be chipping ect. Been looking on ebay, but sometimes you can trust what you are getting. Cheers Mark

There has been a few questions about wheel spacers so took a few pics of mine.I have 25mm front spacers with 18" wheels 245x40 tyres. Under extream conditions ie very bumpy country roads they do scuff the inner plastic guards a little but on normal roads they are great. The stance looks great I think so here's the pics plus a few others just for the hell of it.

Spotted a black zed in car park 15 on Warwick campus about 9:30 today, might still be there.

  16. Started by Officer19,

Can the original factory fitted rubberised rear spoiler be successfully repainted? Mine suffers from the usual cracking/peeling. Has paint technology moved on that allows an improved acceptable finish? I'm aware that fibreglass replacements are available but reckon that it'd be more cost effective to paint original. Your comments, as ever, are much appreciated. Regards

Well, ive now got 2 Zeds. Both have no tax or mot. The one at Zedworld is now running, and hopefully will be ready for an mot this week. The other, is in need of some love, i'd say more so than the other one, but has a lot of nice bits on it. I thought about putting them both on the road, making them both nice, then selling the one an keeping the nicest one for myslef. Im now thinking, how long will that take me, and is there any point. Which brings me to my lastest idea. If the first one will pass its mot, i'll be on the road, so thats the project finished with regards to getting it going. I could then take the good bits off the other one, and mak…

There doesnt seem to be anything on this, so here goes... Just fitted my new steering wheel, but as its a smaller diameter than the stock one and even with the seat set as low as it will go, the top of the wheel still obscures all the dials... In my old MX5 i very successfully did a foamectomy on the seat, and removed about an inch of foam so I sat an inch lower, which is all I'd need to do to the seat in the zed to be able to see the dials. Has anyone removed some foam from the front seat to lower it further?

  25. Hey, Currently putting new front pads in and noticed two of the pads have spring clip things on them, can anyone tell me if these go on the rear of the disc or the front. They seem pretty pointless they do, guess theyre there for a reason. Cheers!
