After pulling the seat out and removing the accelerator pedal, bonnet release and the trim (thanks to Jeff TT's guide) I went about removing the fuse box, in a hope to solve my electrical issues by fixing the drain line.... However, the fuse box was bone dry...even dusty... ...but at least I've ruled this out as a problem. Ok, first off I think I'm missing a couple fuses, based on other pics I've seen of the fuse box, but this might be for things I don't have (i.e HICAS and Cruise). I did find this plug, it looks like it used to be attached to something, I really want to plug it into something, but after a dig around there isn't anywhere t…

Saw a very shiny Zx pulled over on the Stoke Hammond By-pass (MKeynes/Bletchley to Leighton Buzzard/Bedford). I almost spun back at the next round-a-bout thinking to chat to you but the AA man you had with you seemed to be stood well away up the banking. Was it about to explode? Did it explode? Maybe it had already exploded? I feel for you cos that's the place where you might have been extending ones right digits(lets say).

I have had one cylinder drop out on me yesterday so have been fault finding this morning. Took off coil pack plug and there was no difference to the engine note so i removed plug and coil pack started her up and Found I have spark so coil pack and plug are fine Right I have checked the resistance of my injector on cylinder one and it's showing no resistance. So now I have a dilemma I have a full set of tt injectors on my spare engine, I know the na ones are 270cc and the tt ones are 370cc Now what I Am assuming all I need to do is to swap them over and get the ecu re mapped. Am I right in thinking this?

Well I just went to town in the Z with the targas out, was a lovelly drive. On the way back, I had to go via the motorway because I couldn't get out of town by the normal roads. Coming off the motorway the road is 30mph, which I was obeying, a TVR Tuscan however decided he wasn't and overtook me, about half a mile further down the road, it changes to national speed limit, at which point I downed to second, floored it and after the first corner saw the TVR. Within a few corners I had caught the Tuscan up, he obviously wasn't as sure of his car in the corners as I was of mine, he was still accelerating on the straights however. A corner or two more and I'm right b…

Hi everyone There is a heat shield of some sort on the exhaust between the down-pipe and the cat on both sides that appears to be bolted/clamped in place. Do I HAVE to have these in place ? Mine are rusted and because I live in a suburb controlled by the road-na*is there are speed humps everywhere and I think they've just helped the shields to give up the ghost ! And advice ? My car is a 1995 import. Do I HAVE to have cats in the exhaust system or could I replace them with new cat-less pipes ? Thanks Mark

Guys, Have read other stuff on the site about this problem but would like a bit of clarity on what to do next. Basically have had 4 wheel alignment done and if anything the car pulls more to the left than before!! ( I have an N/A zx) Should I: a) I have new tyres all round, should I wait for these to 'bed in' before looking further into this issue? b) go back to the alignment place and say I want them to do it again? Coz they didn't have the steering wheel straight (possibly?) c) Go down the sticky caliper route? (even though the car pulls all the time not just breaking) Some people speculate about the road surface camber but I had a 1990 Lu…

Just been over Northampton, noticed as i was getting closer to my destination a BMW police car had taken a keen interest in my motor. So just as i pull up out side the tyre shop, as i figured, lights came on, siren went off. anyway, pulled over, only for the copper to turn around and say "you got no insurance, my ANPR just gave me a right head ache" Looking stunned my only reply was "strange, wasn't long ago i got the documents through, and its just been through its MOT and ive got fresh tax on it?" So anyway, he went off to his car after getting the details of my insurer (lynbrook) and then came back saying... "sorry but at present your not insured …
