Does anyone know how to change the seal at the outout end of the gearbox? The part is nice and cheap, but it seems that it would be a real tricky job. Any tips or tricks to getting the old one out and a new one in? The box is off at the moment so access sould be easier. Cheers guys

Hey dude, Would you be able to mod one of your fg stock-style spoilers to not have a rear brake light section? So just a flat lip along the top? If yeah, how much bud?

Are there any UK suppliers for such wheels? Genuine or replicas I am not fussed. I have had a look on rarerims.co.uk but cannot find any Work wheels etc. Ideally I am after some polished or chrome 5 spokes that are staggered with a deeper dish on the rear. Thanks, Dan

Just for info, here`s a pic of the inside of the TCU (time control unit).. until yesterday I didnt know what it did and didnt know where it was, well it controls the dash lights and various other functions and its situated in the drivers footwell behind the cover panel, My dash lights and the pod illumination were out, I looked inside the tcu box and the pcb was burnt out in 1 small area, pics below:thumbup1: Thanks to Groover for his diagnosis of my problem :punk:

Hi all, Doesn't the ZX make you feel good? I was slowly reversing out of my parking space in Sainsbury's on Saturday morning, sun out, windows down and targas off...... ......when I looked round to see a very attractive young Indian lady patiently standing behind the ZX. As I gently turned to pull away, she smiled and said "Wow - what a great car!!" It certainly made me smile for the rest of the day!!! Richard:sorcerer:

Well it had to go - the stock horn, that is....... .....on Saturday I bought a Ring "high performance" air-type horn from Halfords. So yesterday I replaced the OEM item. It was a bit fiddley to do given the space issue, but (with a few scratches on my hands) it's now done!! I'm no longer embarassed to honk - it's really not loud and intimidating like the Merc's twin jobbies, but for £14.99 it has definitely made an improvement!! Richard:cool2:

Just a quick question,Santapod have got a rolling road at there event next sunday,i would like to see how healthy my car is,what revs do they take the cars up to ?do all testers rev them to the same limit because you would surely end up with different readings depending on the testers.Hope this is'nt a daft question.

How much would you pay for a second hand set? Reason i ask, is because ive got some in my new zed. I'd be tempted to sell them to put the money into my first zed if it was worth me doing it. Some new ones on ebay from america, £630 plus shipping and taxes. Thats just for the injectors themselves.

Ok, my drivers seat it twisting my spine and poking me in the right kidney! I had the seat out of the car at the weekend and noticed the back rest part is twisted to the left, pointing me towards the centre console. Also, there's something hard poking at me from the right bolster. The seat doesn't go up and down either, something is mechanically broken. I was just living with this for the time being. So, I wondered how easy it is to strip the seat to the skeleton and foam then replace broken parts and rebuild? I'd also remove whatever is poking me. I've noticed lots of seat parts on ebay. It would be easier just to get a new seat I guess,…

My car had its photo shoot today for Banzai next month, it was a great day weather wise and ended up having the photos taken at the top of Portsdown hill for those who know the area. From what I had seen of them on the camera they came out really nice. Great bunch of guys and the Editor is a real nice guy!.. he was saying they would like to feature more of these cars but most had been over done or were tatty, he said mine looked stylish and tasteful in concours condition so it was nice to see, and I thought it was a nice compliment . I plugged everyone I could that I bought bits from or who helped on the car. Fingers crossed that they all end…

I know the calipers up front are hellish wide, but is the overall track/width the same at the front and the rear? Reason is I got a set of 17x8/9 unknown ET at the moment, concave rears, straight fronts with more backspace for caliper clearance. But I've sourced another pair of 17x9 with what looks to be same offset (they look identical from the front, concave at same angle, just hoping theres not a difference in backspacing). Assuming they cleared calipers (if not I'd run 10mm spacers all round) would they come out to the same point all the way round?

Im planning on a respray in the next few weeks, (providing the car passes an mot without bankrupting me). Its Red, which is growing on me, but ive never liked Red cars. The plan was to do it IBIS White (Audi R8) I think White is getting everywhere, and ive seen a zed in a newer white and i dont think it works that well. The colour is too modern for the older lines of the Zed (IMHO). I love them in Black, but i dont want black. So im looking for some help. Pictures would be good. What different Blues have been done? I like Imperial Blue, but does it need a bodykit to pull it off? Any other colour? Suggestions please...

The Z has lots of problems, nothing unsurmountable with some cash and time, but it's MOT is due at the end of April, which will cost a good £500 minimum to get it through, with the way things are in the world right now, we are really not sure whether to keep the Z or not. We love it, but it's just got so much wrong with it, plus so much we want to do with it etc. I don't want to keep it if I'm just going to keep throwing £300 here, £1000 there to keep it running until it finally dies a death, if I'm keeping it, I'm taking it off the road, bare-metalling it, stripping and re-building the engine etc, which will cost thousands and take months. I really can't decide…
