I'm in the process of removing the old engine and autobox to replace with new engine and manual box. I was wondering how easy it would be to use the old autobox rad to cool the engine oil instead of the little one built into the coolant rad? Is it worth doing? and if not can I remove the tranny rad and increase the airflow over the coolant one? Or should I just leave alone?

Hi can anyone advise the best place to get replacement clips that hold the bonnet support arm? Also the more I look the more screw fixings and the like I have missing. Been trawling the net but cant find anyone who does them.

  3. I'd be grateful for your help. I need a bulb for the brake light on my 89-spec spoiler. Unfortunately the writing on the bulb is really hard to read and can only make out 12V21CP(13W). Searched the net but can't seem to find an equivalent.

Sorry guys, another thread about this topic . i used the search but didn't really quite understand it . I've been looking at various options, doolz, twin k&n and twin greddy filters. The doolz i think you need a dummy mas and im wondering if the greddy ones are okay ? as i think you just fit them where the single one goes without anything else or do you still need a dummy mas? just wondering if both greddy filters would be okay for 500+ and if the maf would be okay for that? i've also got an aem ems . thanks in advance : )

  10. I was cruising along in my other car this afternoon when I saw in the distance a gleaming white bullet coming up behind me. As it got closer, I realised it was a Z and it looked absolutely stunning; more so as it shot past! Did it belong to anyone on here? Had a 99-spec spoiler. A339 in Basingstoke, around 4pm Friday.

probably a re-post. apparently this was a prototype from nissan in 1985. It had the VG30DETT engine in it. Not so keen, im glad it looks how it does now. (wikipedia stuff) First Unveiled at the 1985 Frankfurt Autoshow, the MID4 was a concept car designed by Nissan to originally go on sale in the mid-late 1980s. Nissan had aimed the MID4 to compete with European supercars from Porsche and Ferrari. The MID4 boasted a wide array of technology and features that would eventually find its way into other Nissan production cars. The MID4 prototypes would evolve into the MID4 II, though unfortunately it would never be put into production. what w…

I,m going to be fitting a new black perspex tailgate trim with the brake light in , now i prefer like the look of a led brake light compared to the crappy four bulb Nissan one which when lit looks patchy cos of the bulb arrangment. I got a damaged led one off a Merc and removed the rest of the broken red lens Tried it against the remains of my old trim to see if it could be fitted and it looks like it,ll fit with alot of trimming The tailgate trim has two mounting bolts where the light is so i wanted to keep these intact so i removed everything around them and the red lens that,s inside the trim , a bit of fettling with a belt sander and in it went …

It was the last bit of welding i needed to do , i fitted this a few years back but had to remove a fair bit of the lamp panels to do so But i want to go back to the standard style so using some cut off a scrapper i had to make good what i,d hacked off previously :blushing: So after a bit of trimming and fettling i got the new ones welded in I,m fitting the crystal lights from America and a few,s mentioned that they don,t fit quite right They curve more than a standard light so if they line up at each end the middle sticks out too far !! the only way to make it look right was to build out the rear panel a bit in these areas . This is before . …

Where the bumper mounts to the wing the studs have snapped...1 was already snapped by someone else and now I've done one each side so there's only 1 stud to put it back on with now. :whistling: I can't be the only person for this to happen to.....what's the recommended fix for holding the bumper on when this happens? Also, the brackets at each end of the wing look flimsy and are rusting - is there any need for them? I've removed the stock intake ducting and cant see anything else that they hold on?? Thanks in advance, James
