Hi guys. I want to tint my lights, in the past ive just sprayed the whole unit. That gives a matte effect. If i want that glossy then i lacquer over it. But i want to try something a bit more factory looking so howabout this. Ive taken the inserts out of a spare light unit (you see where this is going) has anyone ever sprayed these directly then put them back in the car. This way it wont affect the unit, but the lenses will be tinted. I cant make my mind up if it will look nice or be completely crap. Id keep the reflector there for legal reasons. Thanks Mark

trying to get to the bottom of my window fault. all component parts (both switches and the amp) have been tested working on my white Z. When fitted to the black Z the passenger window doesnt function from either the drivers switch or the switch in the passengers door. The passenger window lock button isn't depressed. I unplugged the motor and tried a known working one that I had in the garage and the motor went one way but not the other, leaving me wondering if there is a relay that controls the switchover between up and down? Does anyone know if this is the case, and if so where abouts it is located? thanks :confused1:

Hi guys, Been doing a bit of fault finding and general poking and prodding ref my smokey car. Initially the thought that it was a drivers side turbo seal on the way out, however over the weekend I have discovered it is only firing on 5 cylinders and the passenger exhaust intermittantly smokes now. Just had an oil change and no dramas there, apart from honking old oil LOL. Did see that there is a slight leak on the turbo oil return pipes (turbo back to sump) on both sides. The mechanic reckons it might be piston rings, this is what my old man thought when it first went wrong. Can I get your thoughts please guys as piston rings is completely differ…

Spotted a Red Twin Turbo heading South around 9am. First spotted you around Wakefield, then playing cat & mouse all the way to Nottingham area. I was in the Silver Peugeot 308 Diesel (giving it death!) and gave you the thumbs up. I have to say, your car looked REALLY well. (much nicer than the EVO X that wanted to show off)

Hi everyone Gave the car a run out today and she runs as always ,smooth and boosting felt normal, no loss of power. Problem is the 2 boost gauges are reading just below 0 negative and move only slightly on high boost, this has happened all at once and there is no smoke from the pipes, any ideas thanks.

:scooter:finally decided to break the z I bought for my partner, it had a siezed engine when I rescued it from the scrapper its a manual with cloth interior stainless quad pipe exhaust and vr racing wheels pm me if anyone wants anything apart from the motor the whole car is straight and apart from fading is in good condition oh and it has the high wing and t-bar roof. sad to be doing this but can not afford to buy new engine and it is just upsetting to watch it rot away. on the brighter side will be looking for another but for now if I can help keep another on the road all the better..................

It,s a bit awkward to see in a garage ( well a tent actually , lol ) but got the car on the street today and Mantav8 helped me drop the bits on her to see if it all lines up ok and just too see it in one piece . Got the N/S shut and back of the door painted as well ready to go back on permanantly . And this is the standard nose panel i,ve nearly finished modding , no guesses which one influenced me  Washers jets have gone as well . Just need to block all the O/S down and re-prime it then it,s alot of final flatting and fettling ready to get it painted which i,ve decided to do myself , i was gonna get one of our painters to do it but thou…

Finally got round to doing a wheel alignment today, Its not been right since the rebuild & it is driving just sooooooooooo good now I have set it all up again! :sorcerer: The rear wheels had slightly too much offset for my liking, have given the rear a bit more negative camber to tuck them in nicely - just gone out of spec but will be monitoring wear :detective: What have people tried running on the rear?? Pics of the zed on my new alignment machine at work - does away with measuring heads for targets with 4 HD camera's to check the angles: Heres the cameras on the mount - naughty techs in the workshop get crucified here :devil2: C…

was over at zhoodyx's today checking out some things on the engine and just as I was about to go home I started her up and pop goes the main 30 amp fuse, traced the fault to a bad solder joint jagging through some electrical tape so that was easy fixed but I can't seem to get any local places to sell these. The fuse I'm after is the green 30 amp type from the left side fuse box. Anyone got a handful of spares from a breaker I could have or direct us to a good online store. I've nabbed the fuse from the windows to get her going again so now my windows don't work. Cheers Lee

not sure where to start on this had a search but still not any wiser just pulled the zed out of winter storage and took it for a drive and the steering feels a touch strange, syptoms are steering feels stiff when turning sometimes to left sometimes to right but its like it's lumpy in movement (car was ok when parked up for winter) and when coming out of a corner it self straightens most of the way and i need to pull it the final bit, also felt like a little oversteer a couple of times, the speedo is showing a constant speed, fluid is topped up and ok,no puddles of fluid anywhere and no hicas light (but this may have bulb removed) and also checked tyre pressures it maybe s…

After finally scraping the money together to get the old girl taxed, I gave the Z a quick wash and headed out in the sun with the targas off, only to get to the end of the road and.... CAN'T STOP - NO BRAKES!! Nothing whatsoever, pedal drops to the floor. Luckily, the handbrake is spot on ;) So, I have no problems with the clutch, there is good fluid in the reservoir, but the pedal drops like a tarts knickers. The car has been stood (outside, on a slight incline) since the end of January, but there's no sign of any fluids on the drive. I've sat and pumped the pedal but there's no change at all. Any ideas where to start looking? Ta :(

Just took some pictures of the new bits ive applied to the Z over the last couple of days. Fog light ducts, sprayed the same colour as standard mid section and made my own small mounts with weather proof L.E.D side lights hidden inside. Ducts (where courtesy of CAR.MAD and are top quality.) Rear light from Big Jim, clear indicator section. Removed the orange section in front bumper indicator housing. Wrapped the rear blind holder and rear side panels.

hi all got a little issue with smoking on the zed, it started off if the car was left ticking over for around 10 mins it would start to smoke through the drivers exhaust, when i had the car at zedworld back in october jeff suggested replacing pcv valves as that was prob the cause (and the passenger pcv valve was pretty oiled up at the time) so anyway i have now replaced the pcv valves and hoses but i have noticed after a very short run (4 miles to work) the drivers side is smoking quite heavilly on tickover (which it never did before), i know it takes 500ish miles to clear oily residue from replacing pcv's and turbos were done 8000 miles ago by previous owner could there …
