I think I have got a injector failed, have done all the swapping of coil packs and plugs and cleaned all connectors. My next idea was to swap over the nearest injector connector to try and prove if it is the injector or a wiring fault, but not sure what triggers the injector to open so it still opens at the correct time. Any ideas? I dont have any testing equipment.

Hi All, Anyone know if there's a step by step guide on how to remove all the interior panels that are covered in material? (Door cards, glove box, centre console parts etc). It's to give to my Trimmer when he recovers them to save him time and hopefully me money. :) Cheers Peter

So I'm driving back from dropping my mum at Heathrow on Sat morning...3.30am start...it's about 6am and I'm about 2mins from home sitting at a roundabout when the white van in the lane next to me decides he doesn't want to follow the white lane lines but instead decides to cut across my lane....despite me sitting in it! Absolutely nothing but bad luck for me and this Zed...:mad2: He even had the nerve to start going off at me for driving into him!! Despite me being absolutely stationary! Soon as I pointed out where the paint/FG was on the road (i.e. a fair way into my lane) he soo shut up and we just exchanged details. Really hope he doesn't try and be …

Hey guys, MOT retest in a week, only failed on wiper blades and a steering boot, got a new one but to fit do I have to remove the outer rod ball from the hub, or is it possible to twist em apart? I'll mark where I started from. Cheers, David

Right, got my car on the road, but its smoking from both sides of the exhaust. I thought id look at the pcv valves first. Left side one first, looks oily so hoping its them. How the hell do you get them out? Spanner is to big, and hits the suspension turret. Socket gets on it, but no room for the rachet to move...

I'll be taking my autobox off the back of the engine tomorrow and was wondering if it's possible to get at the top two bolts without having to use the 36" extension bars method? Can you get at the bolts from the back of the engine bay or maybe round the side? Cheers Steams

You may remember the zed that met a kerb on the way to have an MOT, the repair I did a thread about (below) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=147497 Mostly bolt on new parts the one thing we could not fix was the very nasty looking damage to the wheel, as can be seen below, so it left is with two loan wheels until a replacement was found. Had the opportunity to see the zed again and complemented the owner on the spanky new wheel and thought how lucky he had been to be able to buy just one, you can imaging my surprise when he explained that it was the old one repaired!!! marvellous job done on it, all for £75 Bargain!! …

Brillomaster mentioned yetersday how he had suffered from someones previous bad work that came to light when having a chip upgrade, the boost leak was bad!!!! seems someone had used a bit of wood to add some firmness to the bottom of his 99 spec bumper due to missing fixings, unfortunately one of the screws had pierced the intercooler. Took some picures and thought they may serve to keep all owners alert to taking care when drilling etc. on zeds. Jeff TT

I have one massive FMIC so there is very little room for the MAF and my Apexi filter. It is possible to mount the ‘T’ pipe out of the MAF in a way that it all fits but the filter then sits right behind the FMIC. Obviously the problem is that an intercooler is there too cool the pressurised air from the tubs but the warm air off the intercooler gets sucked into the turbos thus reducing the efficiency of the system. I’m looking at mounting the filter where the stock intercooler was on the left hand side by running a pipe under the headlight – anyone ever done this?????

The other day my neighbors had a concrete hard stand built for there drive. (looks bloody awful!) When I got home today I decided to wash the car and give her a good polish etc :) when I got to the passenger side of the car I noticed there were little specs of something hard stuck to the paint work but managed to get it off fairly easy. When I got to the bonnet it was a different story, there are blobs of concrete set on the paint work :( I'm devastated! The car had a full re-spray last July and has been well looked after ever since. I feel that I can't really say anything to the neighbours because we get on really well and they are a really nice couple, great with m…
