To take the zed out finally today, treated the kids to a McDonald's and then the park to burn off the crap, i was like a school kid waiting to open my Christmas presents while standing in line to get my tax disk. Loved every minute of it, until the inverter that powers my Glow dials decided it wanted to try and burn the car down :( so now my dash doesnt light up so pretty, and i need a new inverter. bugger. Smelled awful lol But did get the chance to take the roof off today, and then completely missed it raining when sat in my mates house, so i had a wet arse on the way home, but you know what? i just didnt give a crap, i was out in the motor, the kids wh…

hi all, After the recent visitation from Nico, and then the follow ups from other previous old time members, i thought it relevant to share some history. Nico originally setup a forum hosted on Bravenet, where the UK Z community got started. There was no 300zx.co.uk at that time, it was just a bravenet URL. Myself and many of the longer standing members 'met' through this forum, thanks to Nico. However, that hosted forum was very flaky and kept breaking down, due to the hardware being a shared/hosted service, nothing dedicated. Subsequently, after a particularly long period of broken forum, i purchased the 300zx.co.uk domain (as well as twinturbo.co.…

After searching and viewing a thread on here with a link it says to remove the rear brake discs by tapping them off with a hammer or screwing two bolts into the holes to force it off. Tried but not moving at all, I know there are brake shoes on the inner rear so assume it's these or very bad rust holding them on, any ideas the best way to get them off?

how been done remap on stock computer ant what bhp did you get max? Today I been talking with Steve from FCtuning and he said that I need aftermarket ECU to run what I want. at the moment I got 370-380bhp at 1.2bat with stock injectors and stock intercoolers. I want to put over 430bhp after I put 555cc injectors and bigger IC but Steve said that I can't run that power on stock ECU I need aftermarket one. Is it true ? I am always was thinking that stock ECU is ok for 420bhp.

Following on from my last thread about a 7 hour detail I did on an Alfa 155, a few of you seemed interested to see what I can do for you. Obviously, a tired old car with mouldy bits and fading paint is going to be radically transformed by a good session (see last thread!), but any car can definitely benefit from a little enhancement and protection. I have done detailing and valeting professionally and the price for a full day on one car, including machine polishing and removing parts/wheels, started at £250 and went upwards (quite a long way in some cases - you try doing all that to a Hummer!!! 3 days it took!). Now, I'm not saying I'd charge that sort of price…

i ordered and received a new front bumper a month a go and i fort as it was nice weather when i got home i would start doing some prep work on it before it gets sprayed. i took the side lights and dummy lights off my original bumper to make sure the fittings where correct which is when i found out the lights dont even fit in the holes made for them. the dummy light holes are way to small and dont have anything if they did fit to screw on to, and the side light and indicator hole is way to big. i dont know what to do i dont know if i can contact the place i got the bumper from to complain and get them to pay for it to be sorted or if i will have to pay a small fort…

Hi all, i've been having a few electrical issues with the footwell fusebox since buying my car and its been getting most annoying. Had an electrician remove cowboy wiring and thought it was sorted. Then last night the problem came back, i've spent allday on it today and finally discoverd the problem. It played up again after i washed the car so checked behind the fusebox and sure enough it was soaking wet, i pulled out plugs, relays ect.. and all soaking wet. The reason, if you remove the T roof panel you've got 2 drain holes one runs down a plastic pipe through the A post the other down the B post. The one running down the A post (windscreen pillar) had parted company wi…
