Speeeeedo problem

Has Anyone else had a problem with the speedo intimitently working after swoping the dial cluster in an import car to a UK MPH cluster?

 

Once it's working on a journey it's fine, but the time taken to start is totally random. The rev counter works all the time.

 

It's driving me nuts, but i can't tell at what speed!!!! :taz:

    You will find you have dry joints on the speedo board, quite common on both jap and UK, it just the age of the cars really, you will need to take the dash out, take the binnacle apart undo the screws, behind the speedo, boost dial.
