Prior to my new 95 harness and 740cc injector upgrade, I'm refinishing everything I can on the top half of the engine. Loads of fasteners, hose unions and fuel rails are at the platers, spare rocker covers are going to be vapour blasted and powder coated a satin silver and satin black as per original, I'm getting a spare intake manifold and throttle assembly vapour blasted to look like new and may dismantle some of the fixings to get plated although not sure I want to take apart the entire assembly. Has anyone had their throttle housings powder coated with the bearings still in situ? I'm guessing that the seals could be damaged and grease in the bearings ruined howev…

Morning guys I would like to propose we change the areas in our “Meetings and events” forum. Currently we have 13 sub forums (never a good number in motorsports) and I would like to see this changed to 7 forums (National, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, North, Midlands, South). After a recent roll call in the current south coast forum I got 4 replies. That’s terrible and not worth the time trying to organise an event. If we had larger areas more people might check in and see what’s going on. Localised meets could still be arranged in these larger forums so there’s no lose there. I’m not suggesting this is going to make a huge difference but it MIGHT help get more…

As has been suggested by a member on here, I thought I would start a new thread on this subject as I was looking at a set of Tein coilovers. I'm looking for something that has adjustable dampers so as not to break my back. While I understand coilovers in their very nature are stiffer, a down side to going low, I also understand that some are pretty decent now. HSD and Buddy Club have been recommended, but they are a fair bit of money, especially for something that's to be driven once in a blue moon and most likely not at all for the next 6 months. Any opinions are welcome, especially on ride stiffness.

Morning guys. I got the car out this morning to take it to a paint shop in Worthing so they could see what they could do for my spoiler and paint matching (last time I visit somewhere, if they’re not helpful it’s time to think about a full respray.). When I drove off the drive there was a terrible grinding noise from the front off side. I pulled over straight away and confirmed the noise was coming from the front suspension area, it felt like it was coming from the FUCA. I drove it two miles straight to my local brake and suspension shop to get it on the ramps for a proper look but when we went back to the car the noise had stopped so they were unable to look for a p…

Hi I will be heading south on Tuesday to my parts storage. I have a full set of UK blue glass, it should be in immaculate condition, not sure if I will sell separately depends on demand. I have not had it out for a few years and will have to clean and inspect it before I put up for sell. I had to travel a long way and hire a van when I picked it up, so sorry won’t be sold at a bargain but will be fair price. Many other part will be listed when I get them out. I am lucky my brother has taken pity on my situation with health and car problems, he has lent me the money to buy a nice imported 300 TT, on the understanding everything else I have must go, to pay him ba…

Hey folks, happened that they just installed the new battery, but they removed the plastic stock that´s right on top of the battery the matte black finish one. Well he removed the 2 screws and when i was ready to place them back; the damn screws didn´t fit inside no matter how much time he spent there. It seemed like the screws were passed since they are the stock ones and never been changed... can someone point me where can I buy these tiny black screws that adjust fit the black plastic cover on top of the battery compartment? and what exactly size are they??

It's insurance renewal time so I did the sensible thing by looking at different quotes. My existing insurance is through a broker Higos with Markerstudy policy. Excellent customer service over several years and club discount. Having escaped to IoW, my mileage is less than half what it was, maybe 5,000m with some small business mileage. The traditional classic type firms: Lancaster, Lynbrook, Footman James don't offer business miles. Lynbrook need you to have a classic with them before you can have normal as well. But to my surprise, both Direct Line and Aviva now have no problem with insuring Japanese imports - mine is stock with no mods but it looks as if they woul…

Interesting z on ebay >> https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300-3-0-ZX-Targa-3dr-UK-TWIN-TURBO/372479490668?hash=item56b981fa6c:g:fwEAAOSwQwRbz8AG £3,499 for a 1994 L.reg Uk car, in red with leather etc., ok, mileage is high 160k but it is a 24 year old car so actually under the 10k per year thing. So a quick MOT search and the corossion issue has dogged this zed since 2008, when the car was just 14 years old, take a look, now the £3.5k price makes sense>> Date Result Details 01/09/2018 09:36 Pass Mileage: 162,146 miles + 526 miles travelled since last MOT. Advisory Notices Some corrosion in nearside front floorpa…

As the title suggests really, need some shocker top mounts for all 4 corners. The likes of Euro Car Parts dont do them, but i have not tried Nissan yet, although not holding my breath on them given the age of the car. Found a place in the USA but the shipping is nearly as much as the mounts. Any sources more local to home? Many thanks.

Hey everyone, in preparation for a Z cruise I plan to attend next weekend, I thought I try to clean and detail my engine bay before the event on Sunday the 26th of October. I am pretty happy with the end result and the engine bay is finally looking nice and clean as well as a little shinier too:cool2:. I did have plans to clean my undercarriage and wheel wells too but I just didn't have time today to get all that done along with the engine bay clean. I plan to clean the interior and wash the exterior of the car the day before the event, so my Z can look its best on the day. I used Megiaurs Super degreaser diluted at a 4:1 ratio (heavy duty solution) to clean and degr…

I didn't start a for sale thread as I'm still not 100% sure I'm going to sell but I am considering selling my lwb TT manual. Its been my project for the past 5 years. Its had a lot of work done & money spent in that time & has some nice bits on it, meister coilovers, one piece prop, split rims, custom rear lights, stillen lip, new interior from Mondo, Altia door sills just too much to mention. Had a new cambelt & full service with jimmer last month, 11 months mot. Only things that need doing are a bit of paint on the roof & boot lid, possibly a new flywheel soon & the ride is harsh as it's all poly bushed. If I decide to keep it all that will be sorted…
