Well I bit the bullet and ordered a TwinZ rear spoiler from them last week, paid and was expecting it in the next week or so...... Big Mistake! Tonight I decided to look on my account at the tracking details and seen when or if it had shipped.... What I found was a note added in the order to say it would be sent out in mid June........ No email, nothing on the web page to say it wasn't in stock, bu**er all communication that I would be waiting months!! The website says" The TwinZ Design Rear HATCH Lip Spoilers are now available."......... Let alone the car is booked in for a respray in April...... Absolute Joke..... Thanks for letting me k…

Has anyone used "Performance Direct" for their insurance on their Z? I'm currently with Lancaster who have sent my renewal through at £370 (paid £302 last year). Performance direct just quoted me £217 with agreed valuation and salvage retention! Just wanted to see if anyone has used them before and if they are any good?

Had to drive out to a timber yard in the Sussex countryside yesterday. It was a beautiful day for a drive regardless but the attention the car received was ridiculous ! To cap it off on the way home on the A3 I was being overtaken by a van but it seemed to be taking a bit too long to go past......looked over my shoulder to see the driver VIDEOING me on his phone !! Thumbs up and past he went :-) I was half expecting an entry in the WAS IT YOU forum today.

FAST gives the production date of my Z as 9904. Is there a way to get it even more precise - to week or day? It seems it's got a birthday coming up so want to give it the card at the right time :D 2. It's a shame the GTR Registry link doesn't cover JDM production. Is there any reference to when Series 6 production started (and how many were made, when)? I guess I could manually step back through VINs but …

Can anyone tell me what make this boot spoiler is please?

Hi I discovered a few small rustholes on the subframe. The rest outside seems and sound ok. I've opened up and it lookes like it only around the holes I found that is rusted trough. There is some surface rust that I can see. Mostly around where the tension rod parts are mounted to the subrame. So I need advice. Cut out the buttom of the subrame and remove rust and weld in a new buttom part on the subframe? or Patch up the holes that is there now and spray the inside as best I can with some rust remover/binder or something and replace the subframe next winter?

After some advice here please? Towed home last night by AA - looks like head gasket has gone. Does anyone know anyone near Liverpool who can do this job and any ideas how much it will cost me? Or, might have a go at doing it myself - best place for getting gasket set from please? thanks all Trev

Hi everyone, I'm sure this question has been asked before. Does anyone know if there is any other model nissan seats that a straight bolt in swap, as I'm looking to change the front seats in my Zed but I'm having no luck finding any aftermarket side mount seat rails.

So I'm really pissed, I go to fit my new spoiler with optimism, then realise the 'factory spoiler' isn't factory at all but a fibreglass one. Upon further investigation it's been installed with about 2" thick of tigerseal. I've tried heat, wire, cutting parts of the spoiler and it simply will not come off the boot. At the silly prices I'm seeing rusty old boots for on ebay, is there anybody with some slick tips on removing this thing without warping my boot panel?

Hallo. A few days ago, my S6 '99 NA Auto started to idle roughly / misfire at idle. It's OK while driving but when off throttle (junctions, stopped etc) it idles roughly and feels like it's only the ECU keeping it going. If left to idle when parked, it runs smooth then about every 20-30 secs or so, it misses a few beats then runs smooth again. That happens about 10s into the below video. I managed to get ConZult and OBD ScanTech running but not sure what to look for (listen, I can help you build a new fibre network but as for my Z, I lift the bonnet, go "hmm- hmmm" and reach for an expert - which is you lot :) ). Hi all, I bought a manual TT that had recently had an engine rebuild but still had some problems. I took a chance on it... this is generally my preferred approach, it's more fun... kind of. When I picked up the car, I discovered that it smokes on overrun; decent plumes after engine braking at low speeds, then when the throttle is reapplied or if the engine settles at idle (typically when pulling up to a junction or slowing and accelerating between speed humps). No smoke when accelerating or at start up / idle. I have been doing a lot of googling and reading a lot of old forum threads about these symptoms, but none of them finished with a conclusive result. Hi All Having a problem with the brakes on Z32 300zx SWB, there is a awful lot of pedal travel, I have checked the free play adjustment on the pedal and while checking brake pipes and calipers for leaks I have noticed that on this car the brake pipes from the master cylinder on the o/s front there is only one brake pipe going through the o/s wheel arch whereas on inspecting another 300zx Z32, there are two brake pipes going through to the wheel arch and they go to a small block bolted to the inner wheel arch, which is missing on my SWB can anyone tell me what this block is and what it does My car appears to have the facility to fit this block as there are two m…

How long (roughly) should you expect a good condition, charged battery to last with the engine off and the ignition / radio on? I ask because after working on the car yesterday for about 3 hours and another 20 mins yesterday, the battery is flat. Voltage down to 9.4. The only other time I've had similar is when at Beaulieu a few years ago, was sitting in the car, radio on for a couple of hours, car wouldn't start then either. It's only a normal unit, not ICE with amps and stuff. I've not had this problem with any other car than Zs!

Just thinking about a workaround for the common issue people have of the speed signal dissapearing causing interrupted PAS assistance (could be speedo cluster, converter, speed-sensor etc.); how can one go about stopping the speed-sensitive system. Even if it's something programmed within the ECU surely you can simply bypass the ecu and have a constant live on the pas pump? Anyone done this? I have GPS speedo I'm not really fussed on the needle working.

Hi I am looking at changing the gearbox oil on my 1993 300ZX TT Manual, any suggestions on what oil to buy? are the drain and fill plugs individual? is it easy enough to replace at home on axle stands? TIA Adam
