I have bought a JDM spec mirror control switch to swap into my UK spec, which came no mirror folding or defog function. I intend to use the switch to control the power antenna operation, as I lost control of this when I switched out the factory head unit. I am struggling to find a wiring diagram for the JDM spec mirror switch. I did find a guide online (http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1066651/JDM-Power-Folding-Mirror-Conversion-Long.html) but after translating the pins based on that diagram there, my mirror controls did not work. Hi guys I’ve just pulled up in my 300 and as I came to a slow there was a little smoke coming up from the engine bay up by the windscreen. As I dipped the clutch the clutch pedal hesitated to return to it “off” position. I then reversed back into a parking space and I couldn’t disengage the clutch and had to stop the car by turning the engine off and brake (before hitting the car behind me). I had notice the clutch slip on the way up to my destination. There is also a puddle of clear oil forming under the car, not much but enough to have me worried. On Monday, this happened: The odometer passed 174,045km - so what? Well, that means I've driven this car for 89,205 miles since May 11. I drove the car on the right for 59,336 miles between Jun 07 and May 11. And the car on the left, my first Z, for 101,459 miles between Aug 99 and Aug 07. That's this year's first milestone - a grand total of a quarter of a million miles in 3 Zs in 20 years. More that the distance from here to the moon! This forum has been essential to keeping me and my cars going - thanks to everyone. (And who can spot the location where the 2 Zs are?)

My front left shock is leaking, its still running a stock setup and the car is in every day use. I've just spent a fair bit of money out on Bodywork so no budget left for this little issue! The garage that it was in with (a suspension specialist that was doing a four wheel alignment for me) said that best bet get after market coliovers all round which they could supply and fit at over £500! Hi all, I'm new to the forums but have recently bought an '88 na Z31. It came without any history but was a car I'd been after for a while so I've been working (and spending) hard to get the oil, filters and timing belt done. My most urgent problem now is that the center silencer is blowing so bad that the exhaust sounds straight through. I know people like their shiny stainless exhausts but I really want to stay standard. The rest of the system looks ok. So my question is...does anyone have a center silencer going or know where I can get hold of one? Research tells me Mike from MJP might be worth asking. Cheers

Evening all. I picked up the majority of the parts needed for a manual conversion this weekend and now i’m after a bit of advice. First of all, which parts should be replaced with new components. Hi All Car was running OK apart from a intermittent starter motor problem (Would not crank just clicked and all the lights went out) Starter now sorted so I thought I would give it a service, so have just changed the Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter. While changing the air filter found that the Y shaped rubber hose that goes from the MAF to the two round Steel Intakes was cracked right through 3/4's of the way round where the Jubilee clip fastens it to the LH Steel Intake which was presumably letting Air in after the MAF. As a temporary measure I borrowed the rubber Y hose from the other car and continued with the service, when all complete attempte…

First of all, a little history: 2013 I've owned the car since mid 2013, the only mods were different wheels and a Nistune ECU and map My first bonding experience with the car was when the starter motor decided to detach itself from the gearbox a couple of days in to ownership. Hi all, I've had the engine back out of the car recently due to a stuck wastegate pivot on the RH Turbo. Problem fixed and both wastegates were balanced to 7.5psi when refitted. Before the engine pull, It would hold 19psi of boost (as tuned) this is with a manual boost controller, which I know was controlling the boost, because on a very cold day boost would reach over 20psi, and I would have to turn the boost down a fraction. After freeing up both wastegates, I seem to not be able to reach more than 17psi, even testing with the wastegate lines unplugged. Hello all. I'am planing to change my engine and at same time a tranny con. What is the best way to do it? If possible i will change both at once. It means the tranny should be mounted to the engine. Is it space and clearance enough on the Z? Thx a lot.
