i finally decided to pull the door card off and inspect why my door has been unlocking on the central locking but not locking. the answer turned out to be what i thought itt would be a worn accutator or on its way out anyways, unlocking it was snap and sharp but on the locking it was slow and didnt fully engage the lock. so jeff will be getting a call tomorrow so i cabn replace it asap, however, in the process of fighting the bugger out what a faff seriously, ive forgotten how all the little joining rods came apart ive done some but still have two floating around that i cant rember what they were for. i cant manually lock the door now (no biggy the car is in my garage)so …

Browsing once through some Japanese catalog page I noticed the 99 and 2000 Z32 had like red stitch steering wheel on leather; actually I am trying to get a pic of how it looks alike so I can do this to my Z steering wheel...does anyone have a pic of this or a link to show the leather store I am getting it done? I´ve already got the hand break and shift knob..on red stitch.

At around 4k revs in third gear the car seems to stutter. Not sure hat it is though, perhaps the fuel cutting out??? I was on boost at the time but nothing major. (wasn't exactly flooring it). Anyone had this or have an idea what it could be?

Hi, Have not posted here for ages, but I am now having a problem that I am struggeling to get to the bottom of. Had the Z'ed (1993 NA) for 12 years and so far managed to sort most things myself. The issue is the 'feel' in the brake pedal after driving for a while (and also after leaving the car just to idle for 20 - 30 minutes). The pedal is nice and firm when it is cold, but when it get hot under the bonnet there is a spongy feel if you keep pressing the pedal for 30 - 60 seconds (feels OK to start with and it passed the Irish NCT - MOT eqvivalent without any problems as it is now). After pressing for a while the pedal start to slowly give, and will get closer …

I've got a turbo that needs rebuilding with a 360° bearing set. Its been stripped down and professionally cleaned and balanced. And I've got a garret 360° rebuild kit for a second turbo to be done too. Is there anyone on here that can rebuild them properly?.

As above I need to relocate the filter as it catches on the steering rack in the 200sx it's going in BUT the housing that bolts to engine is also to low. Does anyone or has anyone moved the filter and used a different housing? I've seen kits on ebay but they just replace the filter with a plate to move it. Any suggestion appreciated as it is the last problem to overcome!!

well im still nor further as to what to do with mi zed, keep her or have 4 cars lol, decided to buy the bmw 645 convertible, as mi gilrfriend really likes it as her second car, as it would cost to much to run for her 65 miles a day work trip,so she uses her little pug 107 cant get rid of mi volv0 xc90 as need it to pull our caravan, and ideal for throwing kids in and dog so that leaves me with the zed and that isnt always practical, as well, but really like the bmw as it has full spec list m6 spec.... loads of extras , but in 2 minds what to do with mi zed......try keep her, sell her or break her and that's without the brand new race spec engine sat in engine s…

i know i've asked questions about chips and injectors before, the guys i work with hate the zed, manly because almost everyone that's come in have caused nothing but problems (mine included), i take nothing but stick for driving one, well in one of the "your cars a pile of cr@p" discussions, they have decided my zeds slower then a std R32 GTR, which i protested, to cut a long story short i think i've just agreed to race one and a few other cars they have decided are faster on a drag strip.... baring in mind my zed will have its new turbos by the time we actually organize this, how hard can i push my autobox? ill be sorting out the max safe boost l…

Got the car insured in the week and taxed today. Was great to finally drive it after looking at it on the drive for months. However, the petrol gauge is still not working so not sure how much petrol i've got left. I'm pretty sure its gotta be the sender unit. Has anyone had the same problem or got a sender unit for sale or know where i can get one?

Whilst dealing with a faulty handbrake with next to no holding force I was not suprised to discover poor brake shoes, in fact one shoe had the entire shoe material missing but what was unexplicable was there was no matrial in the drum area, which means at some time someone either DIY or garage have replaced the drum Knowing there was shoe material comletely missing!! as the present owner has no interest in working on the mechanics of his zed means this occured during its previous ownership...just shocking!!
