Can anyone help please? When I start the "Z" from cold, as soon as I touch the accelerator pedal I get a rapid clicking noise and she bogs down as I pull away. I think the noise is coming from behind the bulk head in the engine bay on the drivers side. Almost as if it was coming from the dash itself. Strange thing is, it does not happen once she is warm!! Can anyone shed some light please? as it is driving me mad!!

Hello there.. the battery clamp is not an MOT fail... some may put in( or should I say, lack of it) as a note in the advicements.. but thats more like a nod to owner incase you didnt notice and incase you are the type who speed up for bridges. After my other post about Jeff's advice on using greenstuff pads for road use I've been having a look. Since EBC say these are only for vehicles up to 200bhp I'm struggling to find the right set for the zed. Need Help! Got carried away on eBay and bought myself the above without doing any research! Does anyone happen to know the measurement of doors on a z32. Talking about the horizontal length of the door, doesn't have to be 100% accurate but close. Would measure this myself but the car is in a lockup a few miles away Thanks

Ok so the slicky is now a TT for this season and its first outing is this weekend. If all goes well its competing next weekend at Wiscombe nr Honiton aswell. The car has just come back from mapping and is running on just 7psi for the moment to see how things go...but is producing 328 bhp and has a almost flat torque curve of 312lbs so so just over 25% uplift from the power I had in the NA for the last two seasons. Be great if any club members could make one of the meetings! Cheers

OK I went on my first proper track day at brands the other day I wasn't driving I was being a passenger in my 2 mates evos and I've kinda got the bug. Now I wanna get stuck in but I have a dilemma, do I track prep the zed on the grounds its a great car and has plenty of power or do I buy a vti civic on the grounds that I won't care about spinning/breaking it as it's a whole heap easyer and cheaper to fix? had a quote for my new z from adrian flux got £336 pa, then tried footman james and got a quote of 216 :thumbup: footman james want proof of my previous quote from flux and cant retrieve the quote for me ,so got another quote of flux its gone up to £450 so i tried again later and then it went up to £670:angry: what is it with these companies all these quotes are within 2 weeks! Hi all, well I'm back from the Falklands with a broken ankle:mad2: So I'm sitting here getting ready for the summer. I have come back to find the car with a flat tyre, flat battery, and the rented garage has been leaking and dusty. That's what you get when the missus says everything is ok ffs! Hi Got a transmission leak on my na anybody no anybody good?

As described in my other posts heres a couple of vids of the idling/running on my Zed 1st start up.. Seems to be running rich too but also doesn't seem balanced either and if you try to drive it just holds back badly and wont accelerate. Its as if its running out of fuel.

HI i have just finished my auto to manual conversion ....but am having proplem with idle ,on cold it starts up fine when used then stopped but when i restart the idle is up and down .now im running my auto ecu i did hear that the timing needs adjusting how do i do this ?..as i what to make the most of driving my zed before i take it of the road again after summer to finish her off :taz:

Pretty daft question really, but I only put a new OEM gasket on 6 months ago, and she's only done a few hundred miles since, but I really need to lift the plenum to sort an oil leak, today ideally, but I'll have to put it back on today, I know everyone is going to say you need a new gasket, but do I really? Very simple vacuum system and water bypas done, so no big deal lifting it again to put one on at a later date... Cheers...
