this time home i am changing out the old power steering pot to a nice shiny chome one .....when i have swapped it over is there any need to bleed the system, i will be clamping the hoses to minimise loss of fluid etc or is there a specific way this is done ???

I would still bleed it but all you need to do is leave the cap off the pot and turn the wheel lock to lock a few times. This lets the system burp itself, it's not like the brakes or clutch where you loose fluid when bleeding.
