Well this afternoons mission was to remove the AIV andPVRV systems, I didn't bother with a write up as there are a few out there and the one i used was this it was bang on made it very easy. http://forums.nicoclub.com/how-to-delete-your-aiv-s-90-300zx-n-a-t473354.html Heres my pile of junk.. And with that gone my car suddenly doesn't leak air in anywhere as bad as it was and will actually hold a steady idle.. Just a small one to find now but i can drive it now ... well once i find the small water leak at the back of the engine

after collecting my turbos from Craig (zx-tt) , i got some strange ideas in my head for different things to do with my zed, the most realistic is to repair my cry02 system that i used to run on my S13, the system is basically a way of cooling various components under the bonnet using C02, i did my uni coursework on it ( not a Cry02 system but a copy we made) although it did use a genuine intercooler sprayer. basically its a safe way of getting more power our system basically dropped the charge temperature by about 30-35% more then without it average was 32% iirc. i've still got the tank and solenoid although 90% of the plumbing and wiring is gone an…

Hi Can anyone help or got any ideas what will work best firstly do the windscreen trim strips [vertical ones] just pull off or do you need trim tool to release them and secondly what paint would be best to use to cover up where the black plastic coating has come off, or any other ideas to Re-Furb them. has anyone ever thought about running two stock side mounted intercoolers in parrel. ie two stock ones per turbo. the idea of increased sized sidemounts is obv to increase cooling via exposure and to allow easier flow thus reducing resistance. if you can t them so each stock one process half the air amount as per normal their would be half the restriction and twice cooling capacity....... any input guys? i recon theres room in there.....

  7. On the car at the moment. will indefinately be removed but wont be for at least 12 months, to give way to refurbed stock rims and more subtle skirts. Anyway, if you can tell me what they are, would be much appreciated.

  9. With the sales on zeds being so stale at the moment im wondering if its better just to break my spare shorty up. As i have put a few nice bits on her that i could either sell or swap onto the black shorty. Im not looking to drum up any interest in selling the car really just need to decide what would be best and whether i would make over a grand in breaking. Ill add the for sale ad below as i cant link threads on this laptop. I have been considering selling my spare shorty as the summer is creeping on and is a good time to start selling. I do have the room to store her but do not really need this zed. I bought her as a non working project on the side a…

As you know I took a bit of a risk in buying a manky TT for £500 After finding a breakers quite nearby i started buying parts to sort its looks and running issues.. This evening I got around to fitting a replacement bumper to the front, Its not perfect but it was £10 with some other stuff I got and its a huge improvement over the one that was there.. Before... 13. I am very pleased to say my black Z went for MOT today and passed with a couple of advisories... Its not even turned a wheel on the road since having the replacement engine fitted last year so was very pleased with the result as most of the car has been apart! :tongue_smilie: I'm making a boost leak checker out of an old MAF this weekend as I can hear a hissing noise and its only boosting to 0.5 bar  But cant track it down with the engine running as its too noisy everywhere lol. Still got loads of aftermarket parts to fit and more tasty ones on the way, about time I gave the Z some attention and treats, so pleased to be back behind the wheel :thumbup1: oh…

  14. Pictures added and looks like car came from south....... cornwall area! Mate of mine has just purchased a black wide body 300 off a salvage site. Its a lwb 93 import auto with little front end damage very minimal really, it has a few goodies on it but I am not sure if its a members car so if any body knows of this car and can point him in the direction of spec would be really helpful. It has brand new tubs on it to..... just a added bonus his mate is breaking an exact same wide bodded 300:clap: New member arriving shortly:gunsmilie: Dave

Reet, well about a week ago, I got in the car, clutch was fine first press, pressed it again had a bit of play, then more play, more play, until there was just play except for about an inch from the bottom. Got back in the car later on, pressed it, still loads of play, then what felt like a little pop, then nothing at all in the pedal, just play, just how it feels without the master cylinder attached, just the pedal springs. So I looked under the car expecting to see fluid, nothing, tried to bleed it, but without the nipple on I get a bit of blow suck, but with the nipple closed, pedal down then nipple open, absoloutley nothing at all comes out. Removed the master cylinde…

its failed before but then come back again once ive got some speed back up but this time its just died. normally i loose the power steering aswel that hasnt happened for months though. today however its just gone, it fell like a stone under full acceleration and hasnt come back up since. the hicas warning light came on aswel. i had a quick look underneath nothing hanging down. i checked the pas pot, which was full. short of leaving it alone for the night and hoping it works again tomorrow might sound silly but that does seem to work most of the time. im outta ideas.........

What's the size of the recirc pipes, internal diameter, or what size inlet do you need for the BOVs? Don't laugh, but I'm thinking of fitting some, I like the noise as I'm a poser, and also to annoy my mate and his RX7 even more :)

  21. Hi guys, just a little DIY tip here, incase anyone wants to spray niggly parts on their cars..... (**I hope this is in right section, if not feel free to move it :D and delete this comment**) Firstly you need to remove the part your spraying, for this guide, im showing you a piece I took from my old ST500. As you can see in the picture I had pre paint cleaning wipes to wipe the surface removing any contaniments. This is essential, if it is not perfectly clean, dry and grease free, you WILL have bubbling, peeling, flakey paint at the end of the day. Next you need to spray the primer, its best to follow the same direction, back and forth, either up…

Spoke with Leo today and not good news unfortunately, Leo also agreed for me to post the results of our investigation whilst he decides his next move. So we had a zed that appeared to be running only on three cylinders and all on the drivers side bank! a quick check of the cambelt to be sure and then move on, we quickly established cylinder 2 and 4 where not firing due to been flooded and the plugs saturated in fuel. Once these were replaced with a good pair of test plugs and the cylinders blown out with the air line it fired up on 5 cylinders which of course was a bonus but not a final fix. Here is where it goes down hill, number 6 plug was dry so not …
