What you think to Carbon front lip and carbon side lips? anyone make these for the 300zx ? if not, Car.Mad, do you know how to work wih Carbon? if not do you want me to come show you, and have the first set at cost price for the pleasure of doing so? I dont have moulds here for any skirts and lips, so you have the hardest part of the job done already...... Or if you want to make a weekend of it, we could design a whole new side lip for the Z, that is universal to fit under other skirts..... Here are some Carbon Lip pics on the R35 GT-R:

Hi all, Not so long ago i had my rear glass replaced in the boot hatch with all new mouldings..But since then ive fitted a carbon boot hatch that i want to swap the glass over too. Is it possible to remove the glass and re-use the main moulding that runs around the glass? I know the L pieces and top moulding can be used again but im getting mixed answers about the long main strip. Has anyone had the rear glass replaced by a company (ie) Auto glass? If so did they replace the moulding? or has anyone re-used it before? Thanks Dan

My Z came off the road last September after the engine was knocking its tats off, I decided enough was enough and my spare TT engine was fitted over the next few months. The car has done 0 miles since then and was SORN over the winter months. Friday just gone and the Z sailed through the MOT, taxed yesterday.. ready to go! I had a football game tonight so thought I'd take the Z... the missus thought I wanted to show off I insisted it just gets me from A to B (in a Bruce Nolan voice!) I forgot how many people stare at it as you drive past, heads turning, people pointing etc... thought I'd try out my number plate hider when I parked my car up and the car got plenty of …

Well today I set the wheels in motion to getting my zed back. Popped through to see sandy and collected a new bonnet and a wing, top guy. While there he kindly offered me the front shell of a breaker to help with the rebuild. Next stage is to get the front bumper from jaikai hopefully sometime this week and get it up to the body shop to get it straight again

I have started a separate thread for Bob's day at the Cadwell Park Time attack Round. Jaffa has already posted up his experience on his own thread. In contrast Bob n me had a pretty successful day all round. IMO In the first morning warm up he did a 1.55s lap . This improved to a finals best lap time of 1.45s in 2011 that would have won the club class RWD category. Not this time tho .... as many seasoned competitors had clearly upped their game (and power) over the winter, and the best RWD club driver posted a 1.40.5s lap!!!! the overall pro class winner posted a 1.27s lap in his Evo. (Gareth Lloyd) So... We went. We did warm up seesions.:thumbup1: …

im going to compile a list of things to check on a monthly basis, to help maintain our zeds, then create a sticky to help folks out. Apart from the usual checks we do, water, oil and brakes etc. there are bits that get neglected and over time can cause issues if not looked after. what i want is ideas from members of what to check in addition to normal checks. and a guide of how often to check to give you an idea, some of the top of my head. Item / location issue cause remedy Targa drain tub…

  18. I am still having idle issue. If I unplug the MAS it idles at 1500 and when I adjust the AAS in (clockwise) it can be dropped to at least 1100 probably lower and idles fine. If I'm in the car with MAS on it will not idle at all and if I hold throttle will not hold smooth till over 1500 if I can get it there. It sound like a miss with the MAS on. With it disconnected its a smooth idle. I measured the voltage of terminal B and it only shows up as .51 and I believe it should be .8v. As I'm unable to easily start the car anymore i checked voltage on crank and it maxes on .99v Anyone near Basingstoke with a spare to test? Or a spare forsale. Thanks

I have got so many bits to do to the zed at the moment, New lower suspension, HiCAS lockout and new arms Rocker covers Boot build Interior swap Proper polish and detail following my silly use of the tailgate as a shelf! I did have this list weeks ago but following a weekend about a month or 2 ago where I stuck near on £100 in the car and she was empty by Tuesday morning she went back in the garage and hasn't moved since. I was genuinely losing my enthusiasm, looking at smaller cheaper toys on ebay and pistonheads to replace her..... HOWEVER, I just pulled her out the garage for a quick clean and a quick once over with the polisher to remov…

You know how you wish you'd never started a job on the Zed, happens all the time eh? Well I have been trying to get the 2 top stud bolts out to the drivers side turbo for bl%0dy ages now. read countless threads. I can't really heat it up as there's feck all room down there and I've disoconnected so many bits and bobs to get better access she ain't going run without me spending a few hours putting vac hoses etc back together, not to mention hte pas side O2 sensor and d/pipe. :gun_bandana: For those who have done it what tool did you use I bought most of the tools in the attached photo. Getting a offset ring on is no problem, turning it in the imited space howeve…

Hi, Quick question for you all, When taking my zed to the MOT station i noticed in my rear view mirror that it was putting some blue smoke out the passenger side exhaust under load. Now this only happens when i give it some beans, So is it the turbo on its way out or something more sinister? Cheers in advance

Decided to tackle the dreaded targa drain pipe leak in the drivers side foot well. Managed to get the majority of the connectors etc out of the way and then hit a big problem. How do I detach the piggyback connectors that are attached to the fuse box? Do they slide forward or back wards? the last thing I want to do is break anything!! Also, will I need any special tools? Thanks in advance, lets hope the weather holds as I am stuck on the drive.

Hey everyone, trying to come up with some interesting ideas. Just want to see what has already been done though. So pleas post up pics of your center console / stereo surround bezel and headunit setups. Do you have a neat single din, a fold out single din? a customised fascia for double din, genuine double din fascia setup? single din head unit and single din audio processor? Gustom gauges, all pics modded or not appreciated. Would like to see whats already out there! I would love a double din, with touchscreen and digi gauges like on the R35 GTR, if not, maybe a single din nav fixed nav (not fold out type) with a single din gauge pod setup, for 3 gauges…
