Have got a smoke problem on idle, when engine is warm.i changed the pcv valves and all the hoses the other week and habe heard it can take 500 miles for them to clear....is this true?.smokes worse on the drivers side, but only on idle, once you drive up the road it clears.smoke is whitey grey in colour and smells oily with a hint of fuel, dont appear to be losing oil or coolant.

Just called Footman James but they have told me they won't even quote a modern car now unless I already have a policy with them. Is that correct?

i got original 99 spec front bumper it`s plastic and not a fibre glass copy. the question is do i need to modify anything or is it direct fit ? should i trial fit it and then paint it ?

Are they the same? Can i use a n/a in my tt??

Hello, I have changed all the plugs on injectors and coils and now i have dilemma! Which coil plug goes on which cylinder? And same for injectors... I have kept wire on more or less same length but .... Also, maybe someone has some king of fool-proof wiring diagram for 300zx?

I have been out of stickers for a few month already and a few members have ask me for them. I am working out a way to post them to members who want the stickers as they are a full A3 sheet, so it isn't something easy to post out. I had a nightmare trip on the way to collect my car, getting up at the crack of dawn and catching the wrong train (I ended up in Crewe of all places). Just removed my twin turbos fuel tank and the filler neck just crumbled. Are these still available to buy new or is it a used one from a breakers?

Fitted new turbo`s less than a year ago now and they`ve started smoking.... been reading up on what could be wrong and questioning wether I`m getting too much oil to the turbo`s. It only smokes when it gets warm/hot and can be different from day to day. I put T25/28 on and fed them with braided houses complete with new banjos....now the only thing I can come up with is the size of the hole feeding oil through new banjo is bigger than the old one????? I`ve read quite a few articles and can only put it down to too much oil feed to the turbo......oil pressure is massive on the engine build. Any one had any similar problems???

Can the knock sensor if not working cause the car to not idle????? I'm getting code 34 (now I know how to check the code) Or is this a red herring? If so any guides on replacing the sensor if it is shot. Also anyone got a testing process? I think one of my ECU wires is shot as only one shows a continuity with ground. I was tools the other should show 500ohm to ground. As to sensor tests. Anyone got a guide???

So put the 19s , well happy Just needed a 3mm shim on the front to clear the caliper , it was tight lol !

really , really annoyed, my zeds been with GDA for 2 weeks, was due back tommorow morning after getting its new turbos fitted called them tonight to arrange collect but they have only just started it......:censored: and then they had the nerve to try to sell me a engine loom for it, (baring in mind im very good with electrics and i work for Nissan).. theres a reaon i dont trust garages with my cars...:crying: to cut a long story short im going to get it without any of the work done, so shes going to japfest smokey, and then im taking a week off to pull the engine and do it myself like i always should have done, i cant seem to get the links to work so does …

hi peeps i was out n teh zed yesterday , first time i have had it on the road since taxing and filling up with fuel , went to pick up thekids from school , in first when seting off the gearbox or diff, not sure which sounds like it should be on a touring car what a noise !!! like a dog box or straight cut gearbox...whatcould cause this the noise goes away if i drive a bit faster or go up to third , fourth gear>??? dont tell me after al this time and just geting the car back thegearbox is letting go !! help !!! kaza :no:

Looking to get some bbs style alloys for the z but not sure what fitment size i should be looking for. Most of the ones on ebay say they'll fit bmw or vw & not sure if these will fit straight onto my car. Also if anyones got any for sale then let me know.

I like splitting opinions with my Z so I'll try it again lol... :shifty: I've always been a fan of screamer pipes but there is no 'off the shelf' set for the Z. I'll be fitting a pair of Greddy turbos soon so going to get some split dump pipes and get the wastegate side adapted into an open pipe... looking forward to trying it out and excited about the noise on full boost... :thumbup: Anyone else done similar or have any opinions on the case? i am trying to change the rear steering bushes and just cannot seem to get them to move i have tried heating them up a little but don't want to go to far as its aluminium i have heard that there is a tool for getting them out but can't seem to find out to much about it has anyone else had dealings with these if so how did you get round it i have tried making my own tool but it wasn't right
