Having a debate with my mind latley. I love my zx but i think my age is showing through. Im not feeling the need or want for the rock hard drive that i have and are thinking of selling and getting a 350z. But keep thinking that as soon as it goes i will regret it. Ive been to hell and back getting it back on the road and have put almost 20k in her in mods and repairs. I know another 4k will probably see it finished but really dont know if i should keep putting money in or just sell as it is.

  5. Yep - as stated above - after 5 months she's alive again! 1 - when cold iddles fine, when warm -jumps from 800 to 1100 rpm up and down? 2 - slow acceleration response (when acceleration pressed fast - around half second/second gap, when slowly - no gap) ...? 3 - fitted PTU model 2 (brand new) - no ignition, fitted back make 1 - good to go .. why? Is there someone with Conzult in London?

Hi guys, Soooo..... I have a NA 1995 z. The oil pressure needle always hangs just below 4. (as a general rule) The other day it went from 4 to 0 once the engine had warmed up. NOW from reading the other posts I know this could be indicative of the sensor being know for being s**t. Checked the dip stick, there's oil, temp is normal, no warning lights etc etc, engine sounds great (as it always does...) Took it for a quick rag today, THE NEEDLE HAS GONE! One minute it was there, next time I look it's just not there..... I've looked real close, it's either off the scale or has dropped off?????? Thoughts please???? Many thanks, Adam

sorry yet another question... got my engine in today (well sort of) spent ages getting the sub-frame back on as it wouldn't line up??? (has now though) its lined up with the auto box and on one of the mounts. has anyone got any suggestions on how to get it onto the second mount? its about an inch to the left of the hole (looking at front of the car) ive tried various lever-bars and lifting the engine in different ways, even tried swearing loudly at it... but it wont go on???? this should be my last question as plan to have it running again tommorow.

  10. Just to start with can we stick to combined pressure or it just gets confusing. So is 20-22psi ok on stock setup? Because in a few weeks that's what I'll have. I've done my research and most say that after 28psi you need to seriously start thinking about internals. So I thought a 3-4 psi increase each turbo wasn't over the top. But should give me that little extra kick. And I was just wondering what other people where running. Before anyone asks one of my turbos is shot and while I was changing them I thought I might as well do a few mods and get a little more power. I should be getting 400bhp @ flywheel at this pressure . . . if my maths is rig…

Hi peeps! Ive fitted some oem 300zx wheels to my mr2 turbo with 205/45/ & 225/45 tyres. The wheels l got are from a turbo model. Or at least they where sold as turbo wheels & had 205/55/& 225/50 tyres fitted. So it seemed to add up. My understanding is that the N/A 300zx wheels are all the same width while the turbos have wider rear rims. Which is what l need for the mr2. My 225 tyres look perfect but the 205 tyres look slightly stretch. Whats the standard tyres sizes as im just wondering if l have 4 rear rims? Or as standard do the fronts look a little stretch when compared to the rears? Many thanks.

Can anyone advise me as to removing the horizontal external window trim that runs from under the wing mirror to the far edge of the drivers side door please? All I have found so far is a small plastic type rivet behind a piece of tape on the inside of the door close to the edge, can not figure out how to release it though.

And it looks exactly the same I hear you say...... Well..... yeah...... however, I just got it back today after having it fully rust mastered underneath, fully treated and under sealed to keep any tin worm away. I must say the finish on it is excellent, and I'll get some pictures up of the results in the next few weeks, also Nick at rust master (knutsford) and his team were excellent and more than happy to make a fuss over a typical car enthusiast, certainly recommend them to anyone thinking of getting their car protected. Aside that it's the first picture I've put up of my z33 clean so it serves two purposes. Hope you all like, but if you are anti z33 plea…

o.k. their poor pics and needs another sand and paint, but does this color scheme look a bit much? just decided that next time i break down on a show stand i wont be too embarrassed opening the bonnet no comment on the fact my engine not on a stand the bloody gearbox bolts are too short to fit through the mount:blush:

I have toyo proxes t1r on one zed and eagle f1 on the other Its time for new boots all round :sweatdrop: From all the differnt tyres i've had i think i'm going with toyo ( partly due to the limited selection in stock uk rear size) For my slicktop (17") as i do the ocasional track day, but it is still a daily drive car, i'm wondering about the various toyo proxes available: Toyo proxes T1R Toyo proxes T1 sport Toyo proxes R1R I like the comfort and softness of my current T1R but have no experience of the others Has any one tried any of the other toyos? The toyo brochure is very good at telling you what is good about each tyre, but it…

Put my car in to Jamie at evotune in Durham. As the zed says he is an evo specialist but having all sorts of problems getting the suspension and geometry set up so thought why not give him a call and ask.. Fantastic service and car is running superb... Got loads of useful info from him as well about the Dyno, mapping, engine builds etc... For the Northern Guys, definately worth a call if you need anything doing... Hes own evo is something special as well, race car with about £120K in it so far... Top Guy...

When I have the windows down and the targas off, When I shut the drivers side door it sounds awful!! a bit like putting the lid on an old style steel dustbin. Embarrassing when people are about, sounds cr*p. Is there a fix? Seems a lot better when the window is fully closed though?
