OK, Kind of stumped now… have issues with my consult connector (well I thought that’s what it was). Changed the connector over and extended the cable, checked all connections and all are fine, still won’t work. Also swapped the ECU. Checked the wiring diagram and (most) wires go back to the ECU (F1) via connector M64 / F2, the Green wire goes to M17 (combination meter) and M11 then fuse…. Don’t think I checked M17… I’ve checked the rest of these and all looks OK, I can’t see anything else I should be checking ….. could the connector to the dash clocks cause this if they have problems? http://www.karljapetre.com/z/ecu/eccs-color.gif I know my laptop and con…

I thought it was about time that I started a build thread for my SWB TT manual, as my old LWB TT manual build was a big fat failure (read: ended up getting cut up into bits on my driveway and carted off to the scrappy in the back of a pikey's transit van!!) I figured that this time, rather than give a step by step commentary of its progress (which can be depressing when progress comes crashing to a halt) this time I decide that I'd build it first and when it was pretty much ready to hit the track, only then would I write it all up afterwards.. Here's the old girl as of yesterday afternoon, about 99% ready to rock: (big thanks have to…

Guys, Im driving a ‘90 2+2 TT. Me and my little one love the car, the booster seat goes in the front and she comes out with me a lot of the time. Yet its not pratical when the wife needs to hop into the car too. The booster seat however fits terribly in the back of the Zed, I mean I cant help but feel its more unsafe for her to use the seat, rather than use the stock seating/restraints that are there. After surfing around, I saw an Australian driver having the same issue and he was able to get his car exempt from the childrens seats laws as they could see that it was much safer to seat the child without the booster device. Heres some pics to show what …

Since the weather has been very hot recently, I've been trying to use the climate control. However I'm not sure if it is working properly. I always press the 'Auto' button then adjust the temperature (I set it to about 16), but it feels as though it is just drawing the air from the outside and blowing it in the car. I don't really know how to use the climate control, I've only used it when it has been cold, so I may be doing something wrong. It had its MOT on Monday, and it passed with no advisaries, and when I used it when it was cold it seemed to work fine.

Hi all, I've been searching for days on the internet for the solution. My problem is that whenever I'm slowly comming to a stop and press the brakes very light the ABS actuator makes a buzzing boingoing noise, almost as if a spring is depressing and my pedal is moving a little bit down so I have to press the pedal further to come to a stop. Under driving conditions everything works just fine. Only at very low speed when applying very little braking. But here in holland we have many bumpstops and roundabouts so it is getting on my nerves... Found a lot of threats on various forums from people with the same problem. Sadly no solution. Hope you can help! Thank…

Received my new sill bits from a guy called Steve who was recommended by Steams and Sussex Stu. All is good and the parts he supplies are not available oem. For £290, what he supplies is rear arches, lower rear wing outer & inner section and they appear to be bloody good and offer up well, however the main section tucking under front wing was not supplied. He did tell me what he manufactures and supplies, I was at work and not giving the conversation the attention that it deserved. Although I need these I also need the main sections tucking under the front wing. I possibly can make my own inner section where required using thin wall box section cut down with 4" micro…

reason being is, since it over heated, ive never really felt confident in it, plus this annoying clunk at the front, will be getting the body issues sorted first if i do. and most likely a uprated radiator. the hot weather is making me doubt the cooling system is up to the job, not sure if its a combination of me being paranoid, the radiator needing changing, or the front mounted intercooler, but the car got up to 93 degrees today (weather report states had temps of 29, but car was showing ambiant temp of 32 so not sure how accurate that was), now i know some of the peeps in the US, especially in Texas drive around with there temp at around the same, but for me sitting th…

ok, so you heard problem 1 yesterday. (door lock plastic catch broke) problem 2: my tripometer stopped counting up the KMs today. but speedo etc still working. problem 3: one of my power steering hoses has a leak, in process of replacing now. problem 4: The car keeps trying to kill me even at consistent speeds and no accelerating - if I hit a slight bump in the road, i start fish tailing, badly... Lightness at the rear which I previously mentioned seems to be down to play in the joints. Spoke to Luke at Z Center, and am going to get his Hicas removal fitted along with inner track rods and outter track rod balls at the same time. So only one of the i…

I finally fixed my misfire today, traced it down to high resistance on injector # 4. An hour or so with the dremel and it was out and the replacement fitted. Its misfired for ages, I even think it misfired in my old white car where the engine came from, so good to finally get it resolved! Now the reason for the thread title... pulled up on the drive and heard a hissing/bubbling from behind the dash... heater matrix popped! Fix one fault and another appears :clown: oh well I never use the heaters anyway so bye bye for now may reinstate you one day. lol :tongue_smilie:
