Trying to decide what's best to do with the Z? Engine is back from Jimmer so do I fit the manifolds and new tubs and drive it for 2-3 months until the end of the season then rebuild completely in the winter or Finish the S14 and keep stockpiling parts for the complete rebuild and just do the Z over the winter months in one go as want new interior, manual box, paint including engine bay and detailing?

I have a little issue with my 04 A4 1.9tdi 130. A while back I removed the EGR vale for cleaning (before which no faults were evident), since reinstalling it, after every 2nd or so start, or a fair few miles the EML comes on. My vagcom shows fault code: 19586 - EGR system: regulation range exceeded P3130 - 35-10 - Intermmitent. I noticed today that the plastic actuator on the side of the EGR moves in and out when turning the ignition on and off, but only for the first few times, after that it stops moving completely, so I'm assuming this pointing me in the right direction. Does anyone on here happen to known if this is indicative of a specific component at fault? A…

Paint or vinyl wrap?? Whats peoples thoughts on the 2options? I know that realistically paint would be the natural option but would a vinyl wrap really be worth the money over a paint job? Personnally ive always wanted a mirror chrome candy apple red paint job. Starting at the bottom as chrome effeft then fading into chrome candy red and back to chrome at the top. In paint this would be around the 6-8k price mark. So if the same effect was say 2-3k in a vinyl wrap with a 10yr life span would it be worth it and would it look as good?.

I've just been browsing Z1 and came across this: http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=3986 I used to run a twin filter setup, though the single MAF, but it idled quite roughly, although after doing some research there's mention of fitting an idle assist that balances the air out across the two sides of the engine to avoid lumpy idling. However this setup looks quite good - the ECU doesn't need mapping like it does with some other twin solutions, and the description claims it's pretty much plug-and-play, and also easily reversible. Anyone running one? I noticed (adl) phoenix started a thread recently about where to buy one.

Id like advice from forum members Which brake kit is the best value for money? I'm expecting to be running just short of 400bhp at the wheels when I get it finished so I need advice . What is the most adequate brake setup for this power level? I've looked into recon my calipers and upgrade disks and pads Looked at brembos from the skyline Looked at the expensive big brake kits most the uk traders are selling What would on your experience be the most suitable setup I'm looking for the most cost effective, but if I'd be best with the more expensive setup then I'll find the extra cash So guys what do you think blow a shitload or don't bother and just…
