As the title suggests, does one type of plenum fit all models? jap, uk, TT, Na, Manual, Auto, LWB, SWB?

can an air leak cause consult to flag up an 02 sensor? borrowed consult off work and driving along it falgs up intermitently with a 02 error (S1?) checked the wires and conectors all good, i know i've got a few major leaks as z1 didn't deliver ,my silcon in time so its got the old craked pipes on at the mo... any one got any thought?

My Garage have searched everwhere for this part which they cannot locate except from Nissan I won't tell you the price!!!!!!! Does any one know ( I haven't seen the part) can you press out the bushes and replace them. Thanks for anyone who can assist. Brian:surrender::surrender:

The horn on my black shorty has been bodged so just trying to sort it. Where does the circuit wires run as at current im getting nothing down at the horns and the yellow wire going into the steering wheel has nothing either. A bit of help on tracing the path would be nice if someone knows the circuit :) Cheers Marty

seeing as the UK zeds were stopped in late 94, im trying to see has the latest UK zed, ive compared mine to Sonic's chassis number and there is about 150 difference. what i want to see is the chassis number, not the whole thing but the last 5 digits Mine is registered 5/8/94 geniuine Uk manual zed, vin starting in Jn ending in 0010948 anyone else newer on a UK spec zed, stu

It only started yesterday, at about 2k-2.5k revs i get a big flat spot/holding back effect, almost like fuel starvation. Over 2.5k and under 2k revs its fine. Before i rig up datascan has anyone had a similar experience? i might even have a fault on injector 1, which may just be the plug/loom to that injector, which is affecting the revs. Idles a little lumpy and getting smoke when i boot it. All seem to be linked to a dodgy maf as a wrong air reading will also cause the above, so might be looking for another maf, but seriously thinking about a brand new one as im on my second maf in 5years. bought some brand new belts for my zed once id fitted the AMS pulleys, and have just realized they are now the wrong size...?? does anyone know which belts i need? (only pas and water pump belts)

Ok, guys with custom builds is it a necessary thing to monitor? Assuming if it is, then do you need 2 gauges 1 for each bank? seem like the dash could get a bit cramped, already have Oil pressure, Ol Temp, Boost ....looking at adding AFR, Temp and maybe EGT :blink: advice appreciated

Having a few issues latley. Here are the problems Engine refuses to boost above 3-4000rpm. Started to show knock sensor error engines misfires once taken upto 4000rpm. Temp gets high 99° but then goes back to 80° Fitted a 1mega ohm 2watt resistor in place of knock sensor. Replacing knock sensor isnt a option as im not stripping it all down again. Done a sniffer test and headgasket is fine. stop car and restart it and the misfire dissapears. Any ideas please?

Just took both Zeds for an MOT today and blimey they both passed What's amazing is the Z31 which was in a garage since 2001 when straight through the test with no advisories :clap: Bloody amazing !! So done for yet another year Happy bloody days :thumbup: Will be bringing both to SantaPod next week now but on a different stand I'm afraid as im with a local group but still in Zone 4 near you guys .

After 2 days of hard graft my plenum is now shiny.........and ive got no fingerprints left!, lol. Pretty much all done by hand as well! :)

Guys, Conzult shows its restricted via the ECU to 120. Is there any way of lifting this via the Conzult or some re-set jiggery pokery or do i need to chip it? Before all the jibes start, the next step is Manual Conversion as my main Z (of 10 years this year!) is a UK TT manual, so i know the best route/options, but wondering if i can do anything on the ECU myself? If not whats the best route/supplier for a chip and/or piggy back for uprated one? Any help much appreciated. TubZ

ok am i missing something here? manual gear stick bushes 2 x £3.60 = £7.20, ok i get that 20% VAT an all that, but the next bit just astonishing really. Postage to UK address £8.40? Er...... wft bit OTT on shipping for a very small part. is that a joke or does he really charge £8.40 for two small parts to be sent via recorded, hell ive had bigger things than that ive posted recorded for less.

Trying to decide what's best to do with the Z? Engine is back from Jimmer so do I fit the manifolds and new tubs and drive it for 2-3 months until the end of the season then rebuild completely in the winter or Finish the S14 and keep stockpiling parts for the complete rebuild and just do the Z over the winter months in one go as want new interior, manual box, paint including engine bay and detailing?

I have a little issue with my 04 A4 1.9tdi 130. A while back I removed the EGR vale for cleaning (before which no faults were evident), since reinstalling it, after every 2nd or so start, or a fair few miles the EML comes on. My vagcom shows fault code: 19586 - EGR system: regulation range exceeded P3130 - 35-10 - Intermmitent. I noticed today that the plastic actuator on the side of the EGR moves in and out when turning the ignition on and off, but only for the first few times, after that it stops moving completely, so I'm assuming this pointing me in the right direction. Does anyone on here happen to known if this is indicative of a specific component at fault? A…

Well one sunny day I washed the zed and got it all nice and shiny Jan got in it cos we were going out and said what's that crack in the windscreen ? I said what crack ? There she said pointing. Oh sh.... said me, that's just happened. .......mMust have been the cold hose on a hot screen Any way Bronxe screen with green sunstrip ? Told Jeff and JAmie and they reckoned about £700 Phoned Mr Feeney and was told you'll be lucky, Nissan haven't got any and it's no longer on the parts list.... oh sh.... again Then Jeff pms me and tells me there after market ones made by Triplex or Pilkington..... had anyone bought from z1 recently? i've ordered 2 sets of bit from them took 4 weeks to deliver the first and still waiting for them to send the second. their customer service is appalling sent repeated e-mails asking for updates on the second order but no response, o.k. the first order was delayed in customs so i'll let them off but i got an email saying second lot would be shipped end of last week but they haven't been... (baring in mind its on fedex 1-3 as i need the parts asap.) anyone got any suggestions on how to get through to them?

Been offered a wide arse uk z engine and tubs only 10k old with reciepts for 8k [from turbo developments] for turbo and engine bits alone, the car has failed mot on rust havent seen it as yet but thinking of gettiong it to replace my turbos as they will req doing soon I think. My question is this.....is the body kit worth salvaging or if I buy it just bin the shell? Dave

im sure there was one around here somewhere but i cant seem to find it any more, im going to get started on by putting the dreaded clutch pedal and brake pedal in, but before i got destroying the inside of my car, i need to know how easy it is to get that metal plate off the fire wall. thats all im interested in, so anyone who has done the manual conversion and had to remove that plate (you know what im on about if you have done it) how did you go about it?
