Can I change my inside door handles without removing the door cards? I have chrome ones to fit so decided to do it today seen as work is like a white desert. Don't really fancy taking door cards off if I can avoid it!

Hi guys has above helping oobumblebeoo with his engine rebuild, Just wanted a bit of advice, stripped all 24 of the hydraulic lifters cleaned and rebuilt them done this to lots of other cars but mainly 4pots that if there was a problem could strip it back down in no time, But being a zed not that easy lol, Normally id just use tiny smear of oil or lube so there not dry put it back together and let it build its oil up incase I put to much in and end up with valves staying open. Anyone built the lifters or know if thats wrong to do on a zed.. All the rest has gone well, changed all the stem seals, re ground all the valves what a mission 24 of the bugg…

Ok guys no alternative but to remain closed for the weekend, no zeds can be collected and no new ones dropped off due to the poor access onto the business park let alone the motorway system! as we have been suffering a slight amount of inclement weather today and apparently more to come later tonight!! Hopefully will be back to normal Monday. Jeff

Sick to the back teeth of making these up and selling them on for others to enjoy :mad2: the last set I sold on ebay the recipient was overjoyed, I think 'impressed' was the word :cool3:. Just as it was on the bench these do not photo or video so well and do not at all do this little mod any justice, the crisp, white, sharp smd lights are too darn bright !! But I must admit and blow my own trumpet here - these are stunning in the flesh and the 24 smd's are visible from way back, they look factory fit and are perfectly suited to the 300. Anyway here's another one of my short little videos, again showing off my switchback amber/white indicator/sidelight bulbs…

Got Zebedee back today with a nice new mot and his niggles sorted. He's now making all the right noises instead of the bangs and squeaks he arrived with! Thanks for the coffee. Mind you, some idiot van driver nearly wiped out his front end 100 yards down the road and then I had to tippy toe through the snow. Now safely on the drive

Here's a recording of my ABS actuator When the engine is ticking over and the brake pedal is pumped it makes this weird squeaking noise and the pedal is really soft, slow to return to its original position and only after 3 pumps or so does the pedal start to feel even somewhere near normal.....then after a few seconds it's soft again however when the engine is switched off (last half of the video clip) the squeak has gone and the pedal seems a tad more solid This is a '95 TT (SWB) manual and so does not have a bleed valve on the actuator so it would appear that the actuator cannot be bled.

Wiring and connection issues are a well known problem that at some time will afflict all zeds in some way. The engine wiring loom has lots of low voltage signal cables that are protected from interference by the use of shielding, this is a good idea when new but can become problematic especially on looms that have been moved many times. So a case in point, the pictures below show the loom section which serves the drivers side O2 sensor connector, the larger loom splits off and leaves the O2 sensor cable ( 3 core) on its own, however over the years the cable becomes less flexible and the point where the loom splits up to the different sensors a degree of damagin…

For a while now my z has had an issue with running when cold. It was partly solved when I had the aav replaced, but not completely. The garage that did the work said that problem may be down to the ecu? I did borrow a ecu and try to see if it made a difference but it didn't. I'm starting to think that the garage didn't realize the zed had a separate ecu for the fuel pump and was wondering if this may actually be the issue. Before the aav was replaced the revs dropped right down from start up. Now it last for about 30 seconds until the revs drop. Once the engine is warm, it runs fine. Also, I've notice that the fuel pump is humming louder when the revs are…
