So I'm in the process of putting in my order at czp, with the full gasket kit I'm having the cosmetic Headgasket when I asked if they recommend having a slight larger bore size to what I'm running they said this shouldn't be done so, I'm running 88mm pistons z1 say they tend to run a slightly larger bore size on the gasket,to quote Z1 We stock Cometic MLS Head Gaskets in a variety of bore sizes as an option below including 88mm, 89mm, & 90mm. We recommend using a size slightly larger (0.5-1.0mm) than the finished cylinder bore. For instance if using 88mm (1 mm or .040") OS pistons we use a 89 mm Cometic gasket. CZP said this shouldn't be done, Now I've never …

Hi Guys, was thinking of getting the above arms as it seems a lot easier for the alignment people to access the adjusting nuts compared to my adjustable upper camber ones which are a ******* to get to with a spanner. So I was looking at the ebay front lower camber arms but I am finding it hard to understand how the adjustment works. Obviously the lock nut/s are loosened but must the part that bolts to the chassis be removed and adjustment made and then refitted or can it be done in situ? Anyone using these and what do you think of them. Thanks

Well just been down to the paint shop to talk about getting the paint work sorted on the zed as its not the greatest job, thought it would be able to be matched and blended in but......no.......so its a full respray needed! Well not all bad news as going different colour (ish) and getting my other wheels re done at the same time so going to have a fresh coat of paint and fresh wheels ready for JAE, not gonna say what colour its going so don't ask or you will be dissapointed lol.! Yes scubanesh knows but will lose his man plumbs if he says lol. I'm no shrinking violet so you can be assured its going to turn heads hehe

these will fit a zed wont they? the gtst ones do the gtr ones don't correct? what im wondering is what would be the effect of them as the skyline is obviously weighted differently, so the damping rates wouldn't be optimal? im loking at getting some in a few months time hopefully, and the market for second hand is much healthier and cheaper. my bilstien shocks would also be going up for sale what should I price them at?

COME ON PEOPLE NEED SOME IDEA OF DATES AS THIS HAS TO BOOKED WELL IN ADVANCE Have had a reply from Powerstation regarding a rolling road day. They cannot do a Sunday but Saturdays are fine...the cost are as follows 15-35 cars £35.00 10-14 cars £40.00 5-9 cars £45.00 They have most of Feb and March Saturdays available, I reckon mid to late March [16th 23rd 30th] would be better as most members can un sorn there cars and attend this venue. after spending most of the weekend working on it, i booked my new zed to be MOt'd today, really didn't expect it to pass, and given the mechanics tried really hard to fail it, but it PASSSED got a few advisories, need some new tie bars at the front, and some new brake lines at some point. just need to tax it and can take it for a drive. cant wait. they have given it a nickname though, "leviathan" because its green covered in snow and it moved across our frozen car park with all the grace of a mating elephant.... apparently, i thought it looked great. :tt2:

Hi all, Around this time of year we get quite a few questions about experiencing difficult gearshifts in cold weather, so we thought you might find this useful. Using the incorrect viscosity gear oil in your car can make gear changes very difficult when the gearbox, and oil are cold. This is why we often don't recommend using thicker gear oils than the manufacturer specifies. It is easy to think that increasing the viscosity from a 75w-80 to 75w-90 or 75w-90 to 75w-140 isn't going to affect the cold properties of the oil, but it does. Below are some figures showing the viscosity of a selection of oils at 40C measured in mm²/s ( 1 millimeter²/second = 1 centistoke…

Sorry to ask this guys but want your advice.... Had it up for about a week and had a few watchers and messages on eBay but nothing's come of it. I know the weathers been kack which may have an influence but is it priced too high? Surely the ones that are on there for £4995 or £5995 are never gonna sell? Do these normally take a while to move on? Is the price fair but time of year/weathers not on my side? Only reason I'm asking is after my cricket ball incident I've lost a fair bit of money thru being off work, and to top it off, im not able to drive at all till I'm all repaired. :wheelchair: Be brutally honest, I'm a man of the world, it's ok :-) Inter…

For a while now i've been wanting to get my rear center panel wired up with and el panel; actually ive had the actual el panel since last june when our very own phutumsch converted my 99 spec one. So over the last week i've been redoing some wiring internally; adding a button here and there and getting things going. Now i didn't want any old switch on my dash but rather some extra cool functionality that i've never seen before in a zed. First off the switch is a small two way brushed aluminum switch which i've placed to the right of the hand break area, its purpose is to switch a 12v current down two lines going which i installed from the head unit area to…

I will be putting the 99spec spoiler on the slicky, so this bumper will be up for sale soon, just wondering what price to put it up for. The lip spoiler seems to be bonded to the original N/A front bumper and I don't want to try and remove just in case it gets damaged, it will come with the corner lights. Paul

Just out of interest, I was wondering whether anyone knew the whereabouts of my old Z. I sold it in 2000 to a guy who ran a pub near Crawley. Registration number at the time was HAZ 2 300. It was a Cherry Red twin turbo. Recognisable bits at the time were a Paul Bailey rear wing (massive ironing board thing), big brakes, 18" Antera wheels, boost gauge on the A pillar, a weird auto shifter (can't remember what make). Just wondered if its still around. And Hi to anyone who remembers me! Dave

Hi, neewbie with first post. Considering getting a 300ZX, always admired them when I first saw it in the early 90's. I've justed started doing more detialed research and understand the UK models are LWB with the 2 small seats. My question is do these seats fold down? I play golf and just want to make sure there's enough space for a fully loaded bag and trolley or is there enough room in the normal boot?

OK ever since owning my Z which is 11 Years now I have never changed the front shock absorbers! They now really bloody need doing as I don't think they have been changed in the life of the car and it's getting to be a bit like driving a bouncy castle!! I don't need anything flash but something just a little better than stock standard that is going cheap!! I've found these 2 and wondering which would be best to go for... Of course if you know of any others going for around these prices then please send me the link!! Thanks guys!! Hi guys, My Z has been smelling a bit funny after driving recently. Today after driving there was a lot of smoke coming off the outside of the exhaust. Returning to the car 30 minutes later there is a puddle of oil under the car in the same place :( So I'm guessing I have an oil leak from the gearbox(oil is clean and quite far back to be engine) but wondering if there are any know weak points in that area? The leak appears to be in the centre of the car. Slightly forward of the middle box (or cats?). Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Jynx
