As title, moving into a new house this week, finally get out of my pokey 1 bedroom flat, and a nice big garage for the zed! Thing I need to know is, as it's not taxed, can I legally tow it with another car, I presume I can just want to make sure! And will my little 2.0l 306 xsi be up to the job?

My main beams keep turning themselves on when the car hasn't moved. My neighbour has just texted me to say they are on even through they were not on when i left for work. Last time it happened i thought the light fuse had gone but when i checked it it was fine and taking it out then putting it back in again fixed the I think i might have a small leak on my divers side tagra our door rubber somewhere as occasionally i get a few dips come out of one of my a pillar gauges. This makes me think that there might be some corrosion on the back of my fuse box. How do i access it to give it a good clean up?

Hi just double checking here. Im going to use 10-40w running in oil for at least my first 2 oil changes on the rollers. Ive been advised to use full synthetic nanodrive 10-50w oil after its ran in. What's the difference between 10-40w stock and 10-50w? Also 5ltr should be more and enough for a full oil change on the tt shouldn't it? Cheers Dan

As title states, is there anyone in hull? Even better, anyone that would have a look at a skyline for me? Just to see what the condition is, how it runs and drives etc. Thanks in advance even if there isn't anyone.

Ive bought a sticky on number plate after lots of research into the legality of it all.. its so ambiquous.. one thing I cannot find the answer to. does it have to stuck on the front bumper or can I stick it to the top of the windscreen as it will still be visible. All documentation says front and rear and in a visible and clear location. also fonts, spacings etc.. cant make up my mind what to do on this one...

Hi All, This is my first post and looking for some advice on what to do with my 300zx. The car is a red 1990 (H Reg) UK targa top twin turbo. I've had the car for about 12 years but it has been sitting in my garage for about 6 years. Knowing nothing about cars/mechanics etc...it has not had any special storage treatment (i.e. blocks or anything else that you are meant to do when storing a car!). The reason it has been sitting is that a few months before I lent it to a (sensible) friend so they could get to work one day. He was driving and it just cut out, originally we thought it had ran out of petrol but this was not the case. He said there was no noise or ba…

Couldn't get my petrol cap open today or for the last few weeks easily myself as I think the cable has slackened off a bit, seems the notch bit that pulls back is barely moving or simply not moving enough. is there a way to tighten it up ?

my intentions are to remove all arms, suspension and springs and refurb, obviously its possible to paint up the non moving parts in heat resistant paint , but is there a way to polish up the springs and suspension as they are aftermarket parts and would be a shame to be replaced

I just bought another 300zx whilst my other one gets finished of, My question is at resonable high speed the car seems to grab the road to much and acts a little scetty. ithought when ive looked at these tyres sives i have found the problem. can you confirm? do these tyre sizes sound compleatly wrong? 225.40.18 at rear and 225.40.18.at the frount. On my other 300 the set was 245.40.18 frount and 265.35.18 at rear and that seems to hold the road and be tones more settled. Am i right in saying that the front tyres should be slightly smaller and a higher profile than the back like my other one?

im putting decats on the Zed but being told this will ruin the turbos because of back pressure. the tech threads also seem to assume this. Has any body any evidence that this is actually the case or is it simply they speed up the process of already worn turbo seals?

Maybe a daft question but whats peoples thoughts on changing the thermostat form something like a nismo that opens earlier than a standard thermostat. my thinking is they run hot these cars so this should help?? or is my logic screwed?

Had a search through the forums, haven't found anything concrete. Basically the other day both door locks starting making noises (locking/unlocking) when I was sitting in the car. Now I can't open the drivers door from inside or outside the car, passenger door is fine though. Playing around with the lock/unlock on the inside and fiddling with the door lock doesn't seem to do anything. Being 6' 6 and clambering in from the pass side isn't fun ;D

the lil ones! dremel + 1200 grade sanding. primed, then sprayed with liquid plastic. panned out ok.. now for the big ones :P think they had been painted before, but the finish had shrunk massively exposing the aluminium underneath. it was annoying me... now it doesnt. :)

Hi Guys I got my new steering wheel fitted and reverse indiglow dials, plus finally fitted my white LED illuminated pods that I converted months ago Used the tutorial in the FAQ here - by the way my illumination was also reverse polarity to that shown in the example pics on the FAQ I like the reverse indiglo dials - I think they have a much more modern look than the original clocks and they were not too expensive either They show up well on the video herehttp:// Rich

So, the car has just been sat on my drive for ages. So, the battery is completely flat as I didn't disconnect it. So since the snow has gone I'm thinking I might start it up. Is there anything specific that I should do before starting her? Apart from charging the battery lol

I've had bilstiens on my car for the last year or so, the front set are about 30 odd mm lower than stock and im not quite sure about the rear its definatly lower than stock. the ride is pretty good not too hard and surprisingly its actually easier to get over the humps, I think because it rolls about less. anyways in the ideal world id like to upgrade to adjustable coilovers, however cash isn't overly flowing atm due to other comitments. so ive been exploring different avenues other than forking out £500 for coilovers. ive thought about second hand coilover units using s13/r32 but tbh that isn't anywhere near cheap enough to make it worth the secondhand risk etc etc. So c…

Just seen these on eBay for the underside of the car. Do you think they will make much difference? My car is already solid around the bends? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/m.html?_nkw=300zx&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_uhb=1&fits=Model%3A300+ZX&item=321063873079&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&_osacat=0&hash=item4ac0e5ea37&_ssn=dwaymts
