Hi everyone, I'm a newboy here but I've decided to take the brave step and join your ranks as a proud (and often skint) Z owner, but I have a couple of questions to ask ya before I take the plunge. 1) Do you folks know of any trusted garages/mechanics in the West Midlands area? I'm kinda between Brum and Cov - so I have to hold my breath a lot 2) Where do you get your spares from? Specialist scrappy, Nissan, imported or are the dealers in the links from this site the best bet? If your interested (or know of any really good 'uns for sale ) I reckon I'm gonna go for a UK model, manual and in black. I've got about 6 or 7k to spend. See ya, -Stu

got the starter motor off today and it turns out that one side of the mounting has just cracked off and the other side, the bolt had loosened it self, so the starter motor was just hanging off. I phoned a few breakers yards and no one has the starter motor, so I have tried to glue it together with some metal compound - fingers crossed and my Z will be back on the round. Thanks again for everyones advice on my previous post. Vijay

I have read somewhere on the forum that if you increase the line pressure on an auto box you can get a faster gear change. Is this true and if so has anyone done it or how easy is it to do. Is there any adverse affects. Sounds good if it works. Any help most appriciated. Tim

Right - sorry bout the subject line - had to get your attention ;-) Dilema - Have new bumber with stylish racing mesh fitted *but* it clashes with the intercoller 'ducts'... So, do I keep the ducts or the mesh - realisticly how much difference do the ducts make? Considered opinions... Thanks Guys (& Gals) /\/\ark

Well, I've converted my car from Auto to Manual but what a bloody job and a half!!! Getting those hydraulic pipes in was a bugger as well as getting the pedals & clutch booster in position! There's a couple of things to do like connect the HICAS clutch switch instead of the Park brake switch, Neutral switch instead of auto inhibitor switch etc. I'm testing it out on the road tonight so it should be interesting! Wish me luck guys!!!!

Hi All. Having followed, with much interest, the posts on this forum for over a year now, I've finally plucked up the courage to introduce myself to you. My name's Guy and I've owned a Jap spec 91 TT auto for the last two years. It's totally orignal (no mods) and like you I think they're fantastic cars. I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to you all as well. Whilst I haven't made any posts before, the technical info that you make available both on this forum and on the site has been invaluable - particularly the info about headlight bulbs for imports, fuses (indecipherable before!) and introductions to people like Luke at the z-centre. The reason that …

No, not mine, thank any gods who happen to be listening. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=598796823&r=0&t=0 I was under the impression that if airbags were deployed that the car was a write-off, usually as a C. But, having just read that, it is a write-off as you get salvage title with it.

Calling all worldwide stations. I'm desperately trying to LOCATE a MANUFACTURER of Indiglo Gauges. I gave up the idea to find Indiglo gauges that would fit the EURO spec cars, but I discovered that I can pretty easily print custom templates.....so all I need is to LOCATE a Manufacturer, and get BLANK gauges. If you have indiglo in your car, can you please help me to locate WHO actually MFG them.
