Dudes! I just bought a JWT ECU and HKS Boost Controller and frankly I am bit a lost! I know I can just socket the ECU and put the chip in, its mapped for the vg30dett Manual with Intake and Exhaust that is my car, the boost contraption is another matter, apparently according to HKS Europe website "Any time the display shows a flashing L turn knob to left"!! now I cannot understand why my Knob has to be pointing north, south or bloody towards the moon !! Seriously it all looks a tad complex, I'd love to have a crack at fitting it as my car is soon to be garaged for the winter anyways. Is it a bugger of a job or could a person with time and patience and a big hammer…

Forgive my humble stupidity, but you must have all been in my shoes at some point - just got your mits on your first Zed, and need to know a couple of bits.... feel free to snigger and stuff at how silly my questions are - I know I'll be doing the same in a few months!!!! FYI, its a 91 TT import Auto (already familiar with the poo-pooing of autos, so no need to go there!!!). Anyway, regarding fuel.... do they run okay on regular unleaded or am I renting a permanent spot at the super unleaded/Optimax pump?? I've only put Optimax in it so far, but I'm jealous of those company car drivers getting their regular fuel for about 5p a litre less, and wondered if it would be o…

I'm going to replace it next week to try and sort out this overheating problem. Any advice on the procedure or is there a "how to" page on TTNET or similar.

Been reading up on TTnet, and I stripped the door down today (2hrs pulling glass out, and there's still half as much in there again I'm sure), and it's still not entirely obvious how you fit new glass.. Do you have to unbolt the regulator to get access to the rails, or do you just have to try and do it all with your hand stuffed up inside the door? TIA Az

Got a problem with the Z and not sure whats going on. The little red warning light to the left of the 'doors open' warning light comes on. This is an import and the symbol looks like a little turbo with fumes coming off it (sounds bad already) and this is accompanied by horrendous misfiring. Originally I thought I just had bad connections to the coilpacks causing uneven running, but the running has got worse over the last week and now the little light comes on (though goes off if I lift off). Any advise gratefully received.

Any hints on how to get at the passenger side main beam bulb? Or lamp, to be technically correct?

I don't want to start the old Auto vs. Manual thing off again so let's get that straight from the outset!!!!!! But I've spoken to a few guys who are technically worthy of advice today and the fact of the matter is this... Z auto boxes aren't upto it! Plain and simple! Not just Z's, Supra Autos are the same, hey the Autos can't take the power. If you wanna go the 400 bhp + route or even less then the standard auto box is gonna crumble big time in a short period of time! I've been converted, what more can I say? tonight and thses little cu&&s are walking down the road and they throw what i thaught was sand or stones at my car, anyway i manage to turn aorund (if it werent for this stupid turning cirlce on these cars)in about 4 points chase them down the road, there are two of them. i get next to them and they start runing away like the little wank%$s they are. Anyway i try get out car, back is knackered i hobble for about 10 metre and give up chase damage a nice chip on my windscreen, and an even worse back I have come to the conclusion that in this country you cannot win.You iether get assulted in the street or insulted no matter what you do. Hiya my car keeps pulling to the left, spotted that the passenger side tyre is wearing on the inside edge only, supposedly had the tracking done at ATS, could this cause the problem, have done a pad change to eliminate the calipers etc, cheers Jon.
