I have just spoken with Forge Motor Sports http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/motorsport/products/intercooler.html who make Intercoolers amongst other things. Look at the one for the Sunny FM INT -GT12, it's huge. The guy there reckons he could make a large intercooler for the 300zx for about £360 inc vat!! He would need a drawing or a car to copy one from. He can also make the pipes etc. Who is interested and who could help with the drawing or has an intercooler upgrade we could copy? If he has a car he can copy he can have it fully specified with all the right connectors etc, and for suitability on the 300, AND, if we get 5 people it will be ab…

I am thinking of buying a 300zx '91+ TT manual, although I have been told to steer clear of manuals as the gearboxes are weak, is this true? Also, I am worried that spares for an import may be difficult to find, and expensive if available. Is there anything specific that I should look out for?

I took my 92 UK TT to SE to have some problems looked at, they were: 1. Bad oil leak 2. Engine runs lumpy 3. Some white smoke at start-up from driver’s side There were a few other things like timing belt change but not much else. I have just had a call from them stating the following: “Having looked at you engine we have found that there is low compression an all cylinders, in particular 5 and 6. This is probably due to head gaskets leaking and could well need new valves and rings. The only way to sort it is to take the engine out and do a complete re-build for a set price of £2200” Ok, now I’m not looking to start an SE good or bad debate. …

Hi! I've just bought a 91 UK Spec TT and it's fantastic!! Only thing is, now I want to fit it with an ECU upgrade in order to pave the way for increasing boost, etc. in the future. With my car being a UK spec model, are there any major differences I should be aware of or can I just drop a JWT ECU in there? Also what's this 'mines' ECU I keep hearing about? Thanks in advance! John
