Anyone see that just? I thought it was crap, no japs in there at all, but apart from that after. He suggested an NSX, why? They dont look as good as a 300 or supra and they dont have as much grunt either?? He was having an orgasm over it having Power steering and an auto box in 1992!! Id like for one of these days a TV show with ppl that know their stuff. Oh yeah just come to me, he said a mid 90's NSX would come in at 37,000 quid!!!! WTF!

Following the RR day and the disapointment I had suffered (well documented elsewhere)I contacted 3 other rolling road companies. All three confirmed the incorrect method that was used on the day for the auto`s and hence I do feel vidicated somewhat. However having been contacted by a forth operator tonight I am sure the information he provided me is gonna shock you. I have quoted him below and he clearly stated that the only true way to get an uncorrupted bhp figure is in a transmitted gear as close to 1:1 ratio as possible, and that any deviation from this leads to either artificialy low or high figures. So you ask why the problem? well guys the arse operator tested the ma…

hello mate can you tell me more about your front discs ive sourced some through work free of course, what is the diameter and depth of them. or do they have a part number on them. i asked for R33 discs they then wanted chassis number to make sure they were the right ones. made a few different ones apparently between 95 and 98, even if you can tell me the year of the car it would help. cheers "desperate dan"....LOL

The manual box in my 300zx TT has allways whined a bit but over the last few weeks i've noticed this weird sort of squeeky whine, over and above the normal gearbox noise, which is inconsistent in duration and only seems to be apparent when the car is cold. and commonly at around 1500-2000 rpm I cannot seem to pinpoint the exact source of the noise but it appears to be around the box area. If, when i hear the noise, i maintain the throttle position and dip the clutch--the noise continues but dies with the car speed. Any ideas!!

OK here it goes, 90 TT Auto (bog standard), drives fine, does not overheat but stop the car, turn it off and low and behold it will leak coolant! Tried flushing the system for air locks. Compression is OK on all six. If the car runs off boost it will run all day quite happy - BUT give it full boost and it will start to dump coolant. Help I'm getting depressed.

Hello chaps, At the dyno day a few of you, Harve springs to mind, had made some wire mesh to sit on the front dam. Where can you purchase this stuff and how much is it? Did you rivet it on or is there another way? Thanks.

Just venting my spleen ... My Zed failed its MOT big stlyee. Excessive play in rear track rod ends (which prpbably explains the squiffy handling and accelerated tyre wear (S03's with 3k on them wearing like buggery)) The biggest expense was two corroded brake lines which they had to remove the sub frame to replace (6 hours labour for a £10 part !!!!) Still, when my wife collected it this morning at least the bill was three figures not four, Just! £996.... There goes my upgrade plan till next year. Still, on the bright side I did get to drive a courtesy Micra for 5 days ... On a serious note, does anyone know of a good mech/garage in …

I've put my dyno plot up in the rides section under paulb Its the first time I've been on a dyno but it looks like it would have achieved higher than 230 if he hadn't done the test in auto and had it change gear. Shouldn't these plots just keep rising until they flatten at ~6000 rpm ? Any comments ? I'm just trying to find reasons why I got relatively low results. Anyway, next time I'll be more aware of what to expect. I'd like to see other peoples plots to compare.

having just bought a twin pod 60mm thingy off of Smithy I now need to find some gauges to fit. 60mm isn't the problem only what type of gauges would be worth while. I think one will definatly be a boost gauge but what would be advantages as the second gauge? Any ideas most appriciated + what make is best - Apexi, blitz etc. CheerZ Tim

....Welcome 928S4! Have just traded in the lovely 944 Turbo, for a 1991 928S4 Rare 5 speed manual! Only problem is it's a LHD German import. Rides on massive 18 inchers and goes piggin' fast, with serious GRUNT in all gears! Spent most of it's life on the Autobahn, and the gearchange is seriously heavy.(Autos are for ladyboys) Looks like I'll be spanking even more 300ZXs now though!
