Can't afford new wheels at the mo, so getting some tyres. Phoned up and found the Bridgestone S02s are now replaced by S03s as I thought. Apparently S03s are not as good and will be replaced by S04s soon anyhow. He said a lot of people complained about S03s being not so good. Anyone tried S02s, then changed to S03s? Also tried bridgestone vs Goodyear F1s? Also he also tells me, you can no long get goodyears for the 300. As the rears are no longer made in the new pattern F1 GSD3 (and fronts you can get). Pants huh? BTW - prices I got quoted were: Bridgestone S02 - can still get some old stock, luckily. Rears - £149 all in each. Front -…

Need some new shocks but I don't really see the point in paying extra for adjustable when I know I'll probably leave 'em alone once fitted. I want some decent ones that will give a solid sporty ride on my lowered springs. Not interested in comfort! Which ones and where from?

I have been waiting for a set of Veilside Side Skirts for over 2 months now with my Z at PPS for the last month unable to be fitted with the wide arches etc because they need to be blended into the skirts. It's looking like they are not going to be here for another few weeks yet and I'm going to be without my Z for most of the summer and miss Billing. Has anybody got a set (even used?) or know of anybody who has them available? I ordered them from Luke at the Z Centre but I know he is getting them from Johnny at Grasshopper. I know it's not their fault as Veilside are just being slow. I know someone else on here is waiting for Veilside kit too. Any ideas …

The car has given up the ghost! Came back last night from 140 mile drive and it cut out on the drive and would not start for 20 minutes, then quickly did the same. Tried it after it cooled down and it started and ran fine. Checked everything that I could think of and all seemed OK. Set off for work this morning, started fine, did three miles then loads of backfiring as the engine died. Spins over fine, just no go (absolutely nothing). Any ideas?????

Hi All, Since I bought my Jap Auto 1990 TT I've been a bit concerned about the way it changes gear. 1st to 2nd is not smooth at all - I seem to have to wait for it and then it snaps into gear - doesn't look too cool... 3rd to 4th is a bit odd too - Unless I hammer it it seems 'ponderous', as it changes it feels as though it's weight has doubled - hard to describe really... Never been in a different Z so dunno if this is normal.....anyone?? Do I have a solenoid problem?? Cheers!! RobH

The 3 strongest urges in humans are; Food, Sleep, Sex. IN THAT ORDER. You can survive without sex but the species can't. You can go without sleep for a while but you eventually go mad. You can only go without food for a short while. If you only had food, you would sleep before having sex if you hadn't slept for a while. If you have food and sleep, you seek sex. Evolution made us that way so that we survive. It's all about PRIORTIES. A man's biological strategy in life as far as sex is concerned is to have sex with as many attractive women as he can. [because a man can father hundreds of children]. He needs to be receptive to a woman's acceptance; he …

Just to say thanks for all the lads who turned up yesterday in The Miller NOT The Nottingham Knight(Nico). 6 of us turned up in the end, Zedster, Van300, Vinz, Etower, Nico and myself. The day was summed up as being "Aspirated" according to Vinz. "Aspirated" became the word of the day.............Long Story. Thanks to you guys that turned up, was good to meet a few more owners. Apologies for not having any pics, forgot to take camera with me but a couple of the lads did take a few so I dare say they will be posted. Laterz....

Any oil has a limited life. Better oils generally last significantly longer than cheap ones, and give better protection and performance. But it's better to change a cheap oil often than leave a high quality one in for a long time. I'd say no more than £4,000 miles between changes. Remember that prevention is significantly cheaper than cure when it comes to 300ZX's and an oil change costs peanuts by 300ZX standards. Time, temperature and use(no. miles driven and driving style) affect the life of an oil. So Twin Turbo cars in particular with high engine temperatures need more frequent oil changes (at least twice as often as a regular car). Oils age much faster un…
