I am in the process of converting my Auto TT to Manual TT. I have found all the bits including the gearbox but my mechanic told me that the gearbox is for the N/A and it will break easily. Can somebody tell me if this is true or not? Thanks

All, I sold my Zed (Reluctantly ...) in March but went to the Jap show at Hicstead (West Sussex)yesterday. Pissing with rain but loads of Jap Muscle on display. mainly Scoobies, Evos, But lots of Supras and Skylines. Only saw three Zeds!!! One being a arer convertible 2 seater. Was hoping to see more a chat about the usual. Where were you all!??? Still thinking what to get next. After seeing the GTO's Im quote taken with the shape, even thought there not quite a sfast as Zeds & Supras. Good for ideas though. Highlight (Not jap) was a Ultima GTR kit for £55k!!! weighed nothing and had a 7l Chevy V8 tucked in…

I have spoken to seat suppliers about gettign some seats for the front (e.g. Cobra, Recaro, Corbeau, Momo and Sparco) but none of them seem to make a seat frame for the Z32 just say the universal frame will work ok. Has anyone fitted aftermarket front seats into their car? I remember at the Solihull meet one car had some seats fitted but I can't remember what sort they were. --------------- Z first and anything else is secondary and live life a quarter mile at a time! Anyone seen this on Men & Motors? The current horse power champ in a Supra on 340odd. Do we find this impressive, or distinctly in the shirt lifters league? I've seen turbo GSX-R1100 mororcycles make more!

Can't afford new wheels at the mo, so getting some tyres. Phoned up and found the Bridgestone S02s are now replaced by S03s as I thought. Apparently S03s are not as good and will be replaced by S04s soon anyhow. He said a lot of people complained about S03s being not so good. Anyone tried S02s, then changed to S03s? Also tried bridgestone vs Goodyear F1s? Also he also tells me, you can no long get goodyears for the 300. As the rears are no longer made in the new pattern F1 GSD3 (and fronts you can get). Pants huh? BTW - prices I got quoted were: Bridgestone S02 - can still get some old stock, luckily. Rears - £149 all in each. Front -…

Need some new shocks but I don't really see the point in paying extra for adjustable when I know I'll probably leave 'em alone once fitted. I want some decent ones that will give a solid sporty ride on my lowered springs. Not interested in comfort! Which ones and where from?

I have been waiting for a set of Veilside Side Skirts for over 2 months now with my Z at PPS for the last month unable to be fitted with the wide arches etc because they need to be blended into the skirts. It's looking like they are not going to be here for another few weeks yet and I'm going to be without my Z for most of the summer and miss Billing. Has anybody got a set (even used?) or know of anybody who has them available? I ordered them from Luke at the Z Centre but I know he is getting them from Johnny at Grasshopper. I know it's not their fault as Veilside are just being slow. I know someone else on here is waiting for Veilside kit too. Any ideas …

The car has given up the ghost! Came back last night from 140 mile drive and it cut out on the drive and would not start for 20 minutes, then quickly did the same. Tried it after it cooled down and it started and ran fine. Checked everything that I could think of and all seemed OK. Set off for work this morning, started fine, did three miles then loads of backfiring as the engine died. Spins over fine, just no go (absolutely nothing). Any ideas?????

Hi All, Since I bought my Jap Auto 1990 TT I've been a bit concerned about the way it changes gear. 1st to 2nd is not smooth at all - I seem to have to wait for it and then it snaps into gear - doesn't look too cool... 3rd to 4th is a bit odd too - Unless I hammer it it seems 'ponderous', as it changes it feels as though it's weight has doubled - hard to describe really... Never been in a different Z so dunno if this is normal.....anyone?? Do I have a solenoid problem?? Cheers!! RobH
