350Z NISSAN UK ANSWERS

Dear Mr Andrews

Thank you for your email.

Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd have no current plans to distribute the 350z car in

the immediate future therefore I am unable to provide you with any further

information currently, however I understand that the vehicle can now be

ordered in America and Japan.

If Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd does decide to distribute the vehicle it might be

in the later part of 2003.

These plans are of course subject to change and therefore please contact

your local Authorised Nissan Dealer for the latest information.

Thank you for contacting us.

Yours sincerely

Rosy Moorhead

Customer Service Department.

Can Nissan UK please explain the reasons for not selling the 350Z???

I dont mind being an importer it just means more business for me.

I suppose it could be the fact that all Nissan Dealers were so bad at

servicing the 300ZX, that they wouldnt be able to cope with the 350Z.

Yet another missed oputunity by Nissan UK.

Best regards, and thanks for the extra business.

But they start selling it over here when they produce a forced induction version but from what I saw on that video of the yank that drove it, the Z32 kicks ass in the interior build design quality. The engine sounded sweet but he said that it was very quiet.

If I'm honest, I didn't get the impression that he was that impressed but thats just my opinion. Maybe that's the reason that it's got a sub £30K price tag.

I'll stick with my Z32 thanks.

Nissan just wanted good performance for as little money. The engine is sound, 280bhp from an NA that is good. Aluminium suspention all costs money. They could have put better interior in but that would bump up the price to £20,000 mark. Currently to buy one in the US is £17,000.

That is a simalar price as a MINI CooperS! What would you have Nissan 350Z or Mini CooperS? Look what happened to the Z32. I cost £34,000 new and now the average price is £5000-£6000.

Plus the main rivals are the Audi TT shit box and the Porsche Boxter and the 350Z is both chaper and faster than these, which is a major selling point!

Personally if I was getting one I would import anyway. Nissan say the 350Z will cost about £26,000-£28,000 over here. Where the hell has the other £11,000 popped up from? Just more proof that car industry fucks the UK up the arse and then laughs!
