Right, I'm not too up on this subject and my image of a person who seems to know what hes doing is gonna go right out the window. Chipping my car, firstly how much approximatley would it cost? I still have stock internals and I am not looking to go mad. Im not talking huge increases like MAC's car or K4$H's car. I just want a chip which will bring my boost up to a higher but still stable level. What would you recomend? Also, whould there be a huge difference in fuel economey? I dont floor it every where. Thanks Smithy. Its in and was 100% easier to install than the K&N I bought about 9 months ago and didnt fit. Easy peasy. No goose honk though! Is there a power increase? I will tell you when my tyres decide to grip instead of spinning in 1st gear Yes there is a difference. You get used to how much you lean forward when you floor it. I floored it and found I needed to lean forward some more! The engine tone is slightly deeper and slighty louder and you can hear the turbos spooling up when you have the windows down and foot to the floor. Nice suttle whoosh when you let off too. Just moved up to a 300TT from a 280z and after 3 weeks of top running car now idles like crap and appears to be in safety boost(no more than 7psi).Any help appriciated.

For Sale (G) 1990 Nissan 300zx Fairlady SWB Non-Turbo 5 Speed Manual in Red. The Z was imported in 2000 and I am the 2nd owner since. I only have service history for the period I have had the car. The only mods to the car from standard are the Turbo clocks ( I have originals ), APEXi Rev/Speed Meter (for mph), Apexi rear backboxes, and Momo Race Steering wheel and Gear knob. My cousin used the have a Skyline which had a dump valve and it made a really nice wooshing noise. I know absolutley nothing about engines apart from the fact that you have to put petrol in it. Is it posible to add dump valves to an Auto TT ...? If so how much are they likely to cost, and would I have to tell the insurance comany...? And would they make a nice wooshing noise...?

Morning all, Considering getting a 300ZX, and wanted honest opinions on the car, things to look for when buying, service/running costs etc. Also, I noticed that the majority of the TT engines are auto - does this restrict performace? Is there a manual box available as an aftermarket replacement? Thanks Andy

I've seen a few posts about removable Steering Wheels and a few rides with a non standard wheel but where do you get a hub that's compatible with the HICAS sensors? Do you have to run with HICAS disabled and if so what is the effect? ------------------

My clutch has now got to the point where it slips in every gear except 1st and 2nd, so I guess it's about time to replact it? Just wondering what uprated ones anyone has tried, where you got them and what they cost. I remember people mentioning AP or ACT at the slough meet. Just want something that's still drivable, not too harsh on the take up. Cheers

I just replaced my t/t motor with a jdm motor. It tried cranking and then it just stoped. My motor turns over fine. But Im not getting any spark to my coils. does anybody know what would cause my igntion to just up and quit? Thanks for any help. I really need to get back on the road
