I am considering using http://www.chipsawaylondon.com/ to clean up some paint paint chips and a scratch. Has anyone else tried this? I am worried that letting the wrong guy near my car with a can of paint could make thinks much worse instead of better. Any advice would really be appreciated.

Any one have one going? I put my new spoiler on today. Thanks to Dave for selling it to me and thanks to Steve for helping me today. I had to get a new windscreen for the MOT tomorrow, (covered by insurance). The new one is Blue tint, (UK), whilst I have Bronze tint, (Import). I was told I faced a possible 6 weeks delay held out for the Bronze. I went with the blue. It looks good straight on and side on, the 1/4 view clearly shows a new windscreen verses old side windows but the tint is not strong so you have to look closely to see the difference. So the moral of the story is do not get broken windscreen less that 6 weeks before the MOT. Unless you guys know better?? Simon

What a fantastic day for motor racing yesterday!! Went to the Moto GP at Donnington Park to see Rossi destroy the opposition as usual. Top viewing, top racing and top totty!! Took nearly three hours to get out of the car-park though, and then the entire M1 back to London was also a car-park. Took nearly 7 hours! Saw a couple of zed's on the way up, round the Northampton area. Both in silver, and both looking clean but standard? Nice to see them out though, still looked better than any of this bland modern crap.

Hi, nearly had a heart attack at the weekend when I glanced down and saw a nearly zero reading from the oil pressure guage. with some relief I've read the old posts and it would seem that it is the pressure sender. I've got a jap import with the origional dash and clocks.....can i use a UK part? Your advice is as ever much appreciated Nick

Spotted going towards the NEC yesterday at about 13:30.......White, aftermarket alloys, I was in the black Z that got infornt of you on the island....... Miserable git he was too, put me thumb and he looked at me like I shouldn't be driving a Z............the cheek of it! If your on here, be nice......it doesn't cost you nothing. I am guessing though that your not and you spend thousands at nelson's getting a substandard performance!! Remember it takes 34 muscles to smile but only 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap the miserable git!! Matty. ------------------

Anyone out there know a good/trustworthy non-bulshit place to entust it to,somewhere around the Bexley/Dartford area or maybe further afield if not? Also any ideas on the best tyres to fit? Any helpfull sugestions much appreciated. Ta.

Also what's the score with this boost pressure/duty cycle thing?? Is the boost the maximum boost and the duty cycle a percentage thereof...?? TIA!! RobH

Ever wondered what it’s like having a car spinning out of control towards you on the motorway? Well that’s what happened to me today driving home from work on the M11. It seems that a lorry clipped the rear end of a car whilst changing lane and sent him spinning into the right hand lane just as I was over taking the lorry so I didn’t even see the car till he was on top of me. Guess it’s the end of the road for my baby then. Gutted though because I’ve just spent over 6K in the last couple of months for engine rebuild, new turbos and gearbox, don’t suppose the insurance company will give a shit about that and just pay book price. Man this really sucks

I need the plastic bit which the radiator cap screws onto, as the thread which the cap screws onto is knackered, so if i can have just that radiator assembly that would be fine, but if not the whole radiator is fine. MUST BE IN GOOD CONDITION. cheers Steve

How many breakdowns have you had in your zed & what was it? just interested in faults that have left you dead at the side of the road. my 1st one the other week was the PTU, which seems to be popular at the moment. ps im not talking nervous breakdowns due to running costs!!! ------------------ I feel the need, the need for speed!

trying to get to the bottom of my erractic idling so thought I would check the TPS out only to find two electrical connections with green corrosion on and the top connection complelty gone , I think due to heavy corrosion is this correct? if so could this one connection missing cause the idling ploblems? If so is thier an easy solution to replace just the inside conector instead of having to buy a whole new sensor any suggestions much appreciated rob b

I have a 12V air compressor(250PSI) for connecting to cigarette lighter and inflating tires. My problem is that it works with my 200SX but not with my 300ZX - and I've checked both ciggy lighters and they both work. Both cars are UK; anyone know why it only works on my 200SX?! Also, I plan to take out the spare tyres to lose some weight - what do I need to replace them and where can I buy them - someone mentioned a compressor ? (like above?) and a can of rubber spray ? - does this make the tyre irreparable if used ? Differences between a 200SX & a 300ZX: 300ZX sticks to the roads much better. Acceleration is less urgent? than in a 200SX. Headlights on 3…

Hi guys My z tt has the old up and down idling problem and ive been told that as my temp gauge also moves up to max then mid then max etc my temp sensor must need cleaning. Can someone say wher it is located and is it best to clean or replace this. How much roughly is a new one. Any other info on this idling problem would be useful. P.s idling seems ok when cold and when warm with AC on. Cheers guys

I'm trying to get a list together of the parts that are 'recommended' for change at the 10 year mark(my Z is 12). So far I've got(inc Courtesy Part No's): Fuel Pump 17042-00002 Idler Pulley 13077-00001 Secondary Tensioner 13077-00002 Not a very big list at the moment. So these are parts that I think could be changed: Driveshaft supports/mounts Engine mounts Wheel bearings/hubs? Door/Window rubbers General bushes ...what others? Engine internals etc? I havent listed things that normally get done in the 60k service(PVC valves, water pump etc). So if anyone has any other suggestions on what should be changed at the 10 year+ mark please…
