Last week I spent about 15 hours on the car doing bits and bobs, here and there. 4 of those hours were spent under the bonnet, detailing. However, I'm sure some of you have also been lucky enough to buy a Z where one of the previous owners or traders has thought it fit to Laquer(spelling) everything under the bonnet without cleaning anything first. May, I take this apportunity to warn some of you about the condition of your paint around the battery. Mine took a while to clean up but there still remains imperfections in the paint, so I would recommend that a little bit of care is taken in that area if nowhere else. Just a thought!

Does in anyone in the UK have these for sale? If not is anyone interested in a group buy? Powertrain industries has a one piece steel shaft for $192.50 plus $60.00 for the core or a two piece for $375.00 The shipping is too much to make it worth ordering just one.

I have a manual gearbox if anyone is interested. I also have some of the bits needed to do a auto to manual conversion, although you'd need to get a lot more bits too. I'm after £400 by the way. I met a guy with a nice elctric blue Z in Leeds today who needs a mirror. Said I'd see if I could get him one cheap as he was going to get it from Nissan. Looks like it's broken off right at the base. It's an import N/A with the electric mirrors. Passenger side one required.

Have seen this up for sale at with a Trader, apparently it's in good nick but I wanted to get your views on it before I go and start trying to work out whether it's more bollox than boost. 1990 G NISSAN 300 ZX TWIN TURBO TARGA , MET BLUE, MOT-July 2003, ABS, Air Bag, Air Conditioning, Alarm, Central Locking, Leather, Luxury pack, Passenger Airbag, Power Steering, Stereo, alloys, manual - £3995 (before negotiation!) Firebond want a valuation certificate to give an agreed value on the ZED. Say they can't find any reference to itin any of their normal books. I asked what had changed as it was OK lasy year. They checked back, and although I had filled in all the documentation, they had put me on cover but WITHOUT the agreed value. And hadn't told me. So, I need a valuation. Anyone got any bright ideas??

just found out what my problem is! the connector i need to know is:-if you stand at the front of ya car and look just to the right of the middle plug on the left,about 3 inches.what is this for /called???????? thanks jay

I spoke to a tuner yesterday and on running through the mods so far, he expressed concern over me using ordinary head gaskets and not replacing them with metal ones. He commented that the std Nissan gaskets were only good for upto 14.5psi and to use boost over that would require metal head gaskets and also suggested lower compression too. Can someone with a detailed knowledge of the 300zxTT engine please comment on this as it is the first time a tuner has mentioned it and I have spoke to a few in the past days. Hi All, Swapped my chip last night (thanks ChrisC). I had no noticeable gain in BHP/torque which leads me to believe I was already running an upgraded chip. S'pose sub 5 secong 0-60's should have given it away ;-) The first thing that struck me was that I have been effectively uninsured for the last six months - if the f*ckers can get out of a claim on a technicality they will so my advice is make sure you know what's in your magic box!! We get ripped off for insurance anyway without giving them money for nothing.... My 1/4P's worth RobH

I would like to fit my dumplin valves to my (Smithy)stainless steel hard-pipes.But the T off supplied is alloy,there is also a pair in mild steel they have a recessed groove to eccept the bov securing grub screws.Can these materials be welded to s/steel.Pipe sizes are 51mm hardpipes t'd off to 34mm.If any Peeps can help I'd be gratefull.I would even consider a red silicone T if I could find out where from,I've search the Web.Standing by ...Vinz... ------------------
