I think the car is detting, its a very long story. The sound is like rattling a marble in a glass jar, is this detting? Sometimes it happens when you start it up it knocks a few times then goes away. It sometimes happens when pulling away quickly, but only rarely happens when foot well to the floor. Its very stange. Heres the story..... the car was fine, not a problem in the world, went like a rocket, then this isfire started. The car is due for 60k, so anyway, have the plugs changed, when the old ones were removed, the 2 rear ones were origonal platimun NGK ones, id guess from new, with blue bands round em. God damn car, lol, the bonnet cricket has come back, but its not that, its a different sound, a constant squeaking noise, sounds like its coming from behind the dash on the drivers side, but then the bonnet sound sounded like it was coming from the dash too . It only happens sometimes, its really infuriating, any ideas what it is? Thanx!

how many mile per gallon should i expect from my non turbo 300z urban etc??

got a 1990 non turbo jap inport and the only thing i can find wrong with the car is that the trip doesnt work ,,how is this connected etc,,is it just a cable or electronic??? r and two more things, can any one tell me what the little red thing is on front of the auto gear changer??looks like a little lever with a red top.And last but not least what does the hold button do ?? thx alot guys :-)

So installed the boost controller as suggested by you guys, instead of the jets, and gee-man it goes!! i still dont understand why the jets didnt work, but doesnt matter now. This was the sort of power increase I was looking for!, now what about trying 18psi?..only kidding, only just had an engine rebiuld. Mods i have are HKS intake, straight through exhaust, Stage 1 turbos, JWT chip and Blitz boost controller! any of you guys tell us what gains and ratios you run on the BLITZ? cheerz steve

I have checked Lukes web site www.zcenter.com and I have found that he is selling Cbercraft Hard Pipe Kit. But no info on their sizes. (for Twin Turbo) Anyone knows?

Ok this has probably been done to the death but i just can't search the forums properly. I want a new exhaust and induction kit, could someone please list the pros and cons of each, im more interested in possible damage i could cause to my engine as its done 100+k miles. A freind of mine with an Mr2 has constant fueling problems when first trying to start the car and I think it may be related to his induction kit.

my cat converter seems to get stinky quite a lot when im at idle at traffic lights ect, is this normal or pointing to a more sinister problem, would optimax cause the smell to drop off? Mike

hi guys, just need to know if im supposed to get a reading from the harness of the temp sensor connector when it is DISCONNECTED from the sensor? cos im getting 1.26Kohms coming from the ecu...could that be the reason for my code 13?? cheers jaz

Hi, (Here i go again..) I was checking the lights out last night but i cant seem to get a set to work. Can someone explain what lights should work on which switches/dials.. Looking at the main cluster of lights on the front, the small circle lights come on but i cant get the oblong ones next to it come on. Rear lights seem to be working (i have got the red light warning on, on the dash but i know this can happen after a UK light conversion...) someone fill in my chart please! side-lights - oblong in bumper - dial pos 1 normal/dipped - - dial pos 2 main beam - - dial pos 3 fog - - button (also what is the forward position on the indicator…

now im no mechanic but while looking under my car i thought that the turbos dont look that hard to remove! reason im asking is ive got an oil leak coming off the bottom gasket( is this serious?) another thing is i tried the bolts holding the gasket(turbo) and they tightened,this didnt seem right to me! can anyone give me some advice,this is not a job id do myself but i am interested in how. cheers jay

All thats needed is body & glass. Mechanics, wireing, axles, wheels, plastics are not nessesary. A mate of mine has an outrageous engine & an idea! All the people with a 'tin skin' left to sell on let me know & i'll pass it on. harve
