r and two more things, can any one tell me what the little red thing is on front of the auto gear changer??looks like a little lever with a red top.And last but not least what does the hold button do ??

thx alot guys :-)

the trip is eletrical, driven by a motor, does the speedo work good? IF so then its either got stuck or the motor has burnt out.

the red thing is to release it from park with the engine off, intead of pushing the brake push that lever, you'll notice pushing the brake wont release it with the engine off.

the hold mode is for holding the road better by putting less power to the wheels, it does this by using a high gear all the time, disabling 1st gear, and disabling the kickdown.

thx alot m8,,the speedo works sort of ok,,it reads the speed right but it takes a while for the needle to come back down to zero or your current speed

this *might* indicate a problem with your vehicle speed sensor, im sure the tech gurus will be along shortly to help wink.gif

Can I just point out that both mine and Gio's trip meters are *not* measuring 'distance travelled' in the conventional sense.

Where most normal people would oil cogs and fiddle with speed sensors when confronted with a faulty trip meter, Gio and I would more likely be oiling the hinges on the door of perception.
