Hi Guys As some of you may remember my car was written off a month ago in a smash on the M11. The result was five weeks signed off work with severe whiplash. Obviously there are all sorts of claims and counter claims flying around at the moment but it’s in the hands of the Solicitor now. Well as if I don’t have enough on my plate at the moment I got a totally unrelated letter this morning from a finance company demanding re-possession of the vehicle due to outstanding finance being owed on that vehicle or legal proceedings will follow. The funny thing is that the named person who took the credit agreement out was not the person I bought the car from. So my …

I don't want to fit a a commercially available delimiter/speedo conversion as I don't believe the signal 'chopping' approach is the corect way to do it. Has anyone investigated the possibilities of doing this conversion as I would suggest. Firstly what I would like to do is remove the speed limiter in the ECU to remove the top speed restriction, in order to do this I need to know the location in the ECU chip that this data is held or if someone can supply a 'deristricted' chip I may be able to locate and modify the information. Secondly it should be possible to modify a KMH the speedo to read in MPH by adjustment of the output voltage.(i.e resistor change,I t…

Its not much but may be useful to someone - a drivers side door panel (the plastic/wood thing you pull off to get to the inside of the door) Its anyones for the cost of carraige, might be some good to someone who has cracked theirs putting speakers in or something. ------------------ ->Glen - Skyline GT-R 'You dont so much drive this car - as hang on for dear life..' Ref Thread http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/ubbforum/Forum1/HTML/008908.html I took a policy out with the AA on Wed which covers my car for parts and labour up to a value of £500. The conversation was recorded. The guy that sold me the policy did not state that there is a 14 day period from the start of the policy of which I can not make a claim. A (cough cough) suporvisor told me this evening that she had listerned to the conversation and confirmed that I was not told this. I am trying to make a claim in the 14 day period of which I didnt know of and they are backing down. Now surly as they have recorded evidence that I was not told about the 14 day period, u…

OK I've got the car looking the way I wanted and running well so now I wanna sort the sounds out! Can anyone help me out with a rear amp/speaker shelf and how you go about making one? What's the best stuff to use MDF or Fantastic Plastic? I bought some Rockford Fosgate speakers for my Captain Kirk but they never fit so I'm stuck with them. What I'd like to do is replace the front and rears and maybe have the James Rockfords in a parcel shelf setup along with some bass mothers! Any suggestions would be much appreciated boys and girls. Just a short note, not meant to be antagonistic to anyone. Could I suggest that we keep the Price Checks Forum just that. Could people refrain from putting comments about the mentioned kit that they've fitted or asking other people about it? That can be done on this forum. I only ask because the price checks forum is a potentially great source of information. However, the more posts get filled up with conversations about the kit they've fitted, the less use the forum becomes. Notably, Nelson Mainfella spent some time creating some great post subjects. It may be an idea if the moderators were to remove any posts not directly related to the cost or supply of …

Does anyone know where I can get a body kit fitted and sprayed in the South West? I was going to get it done at the Z Centre but Nottingham is just a bit too far away. Also, I'm looking for somewhere I can get seats and the interior replaced with leather as the Z I'm thinking of buying has the cloth interior.
