...just come back from 2000 mile trip down to Provence and back in my Z and didn't see another Z anywhere. Apart from a weird incident half way up Mount Ventoux. It's a favourite road of mine, worth the drive. It's the one the Tour de France goes up so it's got all of the cyclists names painted all over it. Anyway half way up there's this yellow Z, French registered lhd TT parked on the road with this 30yr old (ish) blond in leather trousers and a white t shirt leaning against the back of the car. And there was me thinking I was the only Z in France. Anyway, I pulled up alongside the yellow Z and passed various comments like 'nice car' etc (wife in passenger seat) then ha…

Does anyone know if all models have an expansion tank? Mine's a 1990 TT Auto (UK spec) and as far as I can see the overflow pipe just vents to air. Is it hidden somewhere in the inner wing? ------------------

H-reg, Twin Turbo 2+2. approx 70K miles, regularly serviced, imported about 3 years ago. Has had recent conversion from Auto to Manual (With engineers report!). Therefore has torqier Auto engine! Other than that, the car is pretty standard apart from a HKS air filter. I've run ECU diagnostics on it last night & everything is 100%. Both O2 sensors are fine too. The body is in excellent condition as is the interior. It is a stunning looking car. The only fault is that the tailgate could benefit from a respray because the laquer is peeling which is very odd as the rest of the car is A1! I'm asking £5000 but I'm open to offers as I reaslise that the tailgate ne…

What are the percentage values for the left and right banks that are displayed on the Self Learn Window? Last time I looked, the left bank was on 1% and the right bank was on -9%. Don't like the look of this.

Having to replace one of my wheels thanks to a 'kerbing incident', spoke to AndyZ who pointed out that the standard alloys were sided. Having looked at mine, it turns out I have three rhs wheels and one lhs :-( Unfortunately I didn't damage the odd rhs one and will have to keep it until finances improve - can this cause any probs or is it simply a matter of cooling the brakes?? I presume that the slope of the alloy cutouts should be at the back of the rotation and the flatter bit at the front..(?) On a side note, the tyres on the front are crappy Federal 225/55/16s - the wrong profile size I think - will this b*ll*x my handling or simply look like crappy wa…

Sorry to post this message on the general forum, but I thought this might be of interest to a lot of you. I have a twin turbo engine that I will sell off cheap if anyone wants to buy it in the next 2 weeks. I'm after £475 for it (I originally wanted £800) The engine is sitting in my garage, all strapped up ready to be lifted straight into a van (via an engine hoist). Behind the engine is a car that I can't move until the engine is moved. If noone buys the engine in the next couple of weeks then I'll have to hire an engine hoist and move it out of the way. The engine itself is OK as far as I know. I video'd the engine running before it was taken out of the car…
