After a bit of confusion with a couple of suppliers i use in states, i may have 4 instead of 2 clutch kits coming, they are a complete kit with new slave cylinder and bearings, choice of either a 6 puck SPRUNG hub( solid ones are crap)will take up to 700 pounds of torque or the with the street disc will take upto nearly 600 pounds of torque, now before yer shout, " im no where near that" should you be the kinda guy that likes to do the odd donut and wheel spinning, your clutch gets very hot and these will withstand it, hence why b12andy uses one rated at 1000 bhp, so better to have one that will take what ever you throw at it and laeve room for more, than one that is near…

I'm a bit of a newbie to this 300ZX lark, but had a drive of one a few weeks ago and now I really really really want one! Thing is I have been looking around for a UK TT and they are seemingly pretty damn rare. I have, however found more imports available. I was wondering if any of you experienced 300ZX gurus could give me an idea of your thoughts on the UK v Jap debate. A couple of import garages I have spoken to said they refused to deal in Jap TTs and would only sell non turbos (which is hardly the same now is it!?) I know it's a bit of an ask, but if anyone knows of a nice UK spec TT up for sale, please let me know! I have been looking around for a few weeks now, and they are pretty difficult to find, as I'm sure you all know! I would gladly consider an import (as long as it seemed in decent nick and unless I'm convinced otherwise - must admit a few garages I have spoken to claim all Jap TTs are dogs...) but the insurance quotes I have been getting for a Jap one are silly! The best I've had is nearly £1500 vs the best quote I've had for a UK one being £820!!! big thank you to phil at c&s wood for getting my gearbox sorted. The box died on me on the 29th of july, i got the breakdown to flatback it off to the garage on the same day and i got it back yesterday, week and a half turnaround, pretty good id say for a full box overhaul and 2 year warranty. I must say the new box is better than its ever been and i would strongly recommend c&s wood to anyone, nothing is too much trouble and your car even gets a wash. Shame they dont clean the inside aswell , just kidding matey, cheers for everything.

ok time has come for me to install a turbo timer, im fed up of sitting in the car on my drive waiting for it to cool down every night and i like to treat her right. Basically something which will calculate cooldown time reliably and also have a manual mode is all i need. Also for it to have an inbuilt speedo and RPM display would be a bonus and 0-60 timer. easy people! i know ive probably posted enough 'tech' topics to drive ulot and bonkers! but i need some more help on the temp sensor or maybe even the circuit. the i recently did a ecu diag and...code 13 which is, if im correct the temp sensor. just replaced it and.....NOTHING! i presume its the circuit or somin but how do i go about rectifying it? cheers lads, jaz

Any colour, skuffs & scratches not an issue! just needs to be ok at upper fitting closure. harve

All the sensors seem to be within range. Only oddities seem to be: i) Right O2 sensor consistently gives slightly higher voltage reading than left at idle ii) Whenever I accelarate hard the time drops to as low as 3 degrees. With normal accelaration it just gardually climbs Could any of these be the cuase of the lower power

Read on the company intranet today that depending on production targets they will concider setting a date for releasing the new Z in Europe. Had the retail prices in Yen and it roughly worked out at 13.5K up to 18.5K but i bet you that wont be the price if its sold in the UK, there will be another 10K clear profit added to that i bet because people here are mugs and the car manufacturers know it hence you get shafted. Hi Sometimes when I start my TT Z I hear a 'chink...chink...chink...chink...chink...chink...chink...chink...chink...chink...'! It gets faster with revs and usually disapears once the engine has warmed up - sometimes not though. Any ideas where I should start looking? Cheers, Andy

Just got my AGX shocks delivered today from Phuong. Question: Do I need any additional bits to fit them? The shocks just came with the nuts for the top. I'm presuming I can re-use the old lower mounting bolts and other bits and pieces. I'm probably wrong so I'm looking forward to being corrected again! Cheers

Hi All, When I start my car from cold and pull away from a junction, the revs drop off as though it's going to stall - happens just as I apply pressure to the accelerator pedal. Hasn't stalled as yet, it's just annoying. Any ideas anyone? It's fine when warm. 90 TT Auto Jap, SE chip, AVC-R and Blitz SUS. Advice appreciated as ever.....

I am about to throw more money down the drain and upgrade to a TT. Therefore, my NA is up for grabs at a (IMHO) ridiculous price. It is a 1991 Metallic Grey, stock NA with 75k on the clock. The 112 Mph limit has just been lifted, and the cambelt has just been replaced. Regularly service by Nelson since its import. Please do get in touch for the price and help me do the right thing....;-)

Hi there... I just bought a Z the other week - a 1990 SWB NA from an ad on here (in case anyone saw it) - and I'm loving it, BUT I just wanted to ask about a couple of problems it seems to have. I should perhaps warn that I'm not too good with car things, not very good at all, in fact :/ I've got a mate who can bodge most stuff, but I'm loathe to let him lose on the Z. Anyway: Firstly, sometimes the speedo needle shoots off the scale and stays there for a while (sometimes several minutes). There's a separate digital speedo installed too, and that then shows '0'. The rev counter works fine, though. Sometimes there's a chime when the speedo comes back again. I've …

Right the car has two wires connected to the stock auto shifter for the O/D switch. One wire is black and one white. On the Razo the two wires are the same sodding colour being black with silver stripes...WTF is that all about? So I took a guess and wired it up and threw it all back together and yep, you guessed it, the O/D isn't working! Is this a simple case of taking the whole trim apart AGAIN and reversing the wires round? I would've thought so?
