I got a problem with the rear light and no.plate lights. As evening approaches and i turn my lights on, the front are all fine, however none of the rear come on, if i brake lights will come on only as i brake but not otherwise. I have checked all the fuses internally in the car and inside the hood. Anybody got any ideas for me???

There is a small screw on the rod that opens the throttle butterflay just to the left of the passenger throttle body. Mine is loose. What is it for and what will happen if it is incorrectly adjusted. I gave it a quarter turn clockwise and my idle speed rocketed so I turned it back to where it was. Now the idle briefly drops below 700 rpm when I stop

I think it was ChrisC who posted about this a while back. I didn't take much notice at the time but while lairing about "de Wales" (as I believe you natives call it) earlier in the week while it was still sunny, I wondered why my aircon kept cutting in and out. So I checked the forum. Lo and behold, some kind and clearly barking mad designer decided to program the ECU to cut power to the aircon compressor when it detected the driver was giving it some of the old right foot treatment. Hence large helpings of boot = switch out aircon = more power to the wheels. What a very nice man indeed who thought of that And what a very nice boss he must have had t…

I've had these recommended to me as better stopping, less dusty than OEM Nissan (£54.95 per axle set - oh no, sorry, this bit should be in Price Checks ) I'm not looking for instant stop - just a good replacement / upgrade for OEM. Anyone used them? TIA - Gio ------------------

Please feel free to send in your entries! I found these on an old camera of mine! Some snaps of forum members over the years! We'll start with Chris c, scoops and timmy turbo on a night out to the blue oyster! As usual jay has yet another can of wife beater in his hand and is sporting a shockingly BAD haircut........... Jay yet again shows of in public his facial 'modifications'!!! Chris c and timmy at the front-timmy tries to read something but realises he cant whilst dylan and scoops at the back wonder why chris has inadvertantly shaved his own tongue! Not enough food at billing prooves too much for macca and decides to…

OK, So now I have an Alarm and my car back. However it now only runs with half the boost and the battery is not charging. Any ideas. You'd have thought that a Nissan dealer would have been able to fit an alarm with out killing the car!! I suppose I'll just have to bump/jump start it in the morning and take it back. They did take 2 weeks to fit the alarm so what's the odds that I never get to drive my car this summer.. 3 weeks with a Zed. 1 week of pure joy and now two weeks of frustration. I think I'll sell it. Any takers....

After a bit of confusion with a couple of suppliers i use in states, i may have 4 instead of 2 clutch kits coming, they are a complete kit with new slave cylinder and bearings, choice of either a 6 puck SPRUNG hub( solid ones are crap)will take up to 700 pounds of torque or the with the street disc will take upto nearly 600 pounds of torque, now before yer shout, " im no where near that" should you be the kinda guy that likes to do the odd donut and wheel spinning, your clutch gets very hot and these will withstand it, hence why b12andy uses one rated at 1000 bhp, so better to have one that will take what ever you throw at it and laeve room for more, than one that is near…

I'm a bit of a newbie to this 300ZX lark, but had a drive of one a few weeks ago and now I really really really want one! Thing is I have been looking around for a UK TT and they are seemingly pretty damn rare. I have, however found more imports available. I was wondering if any of you experienced 300ZX gurus could give me an idea of your thoughts on the UK v Jap debate. A couple of import garages I have spoken to said they refused to deal in Jap TTs and would only sell non turbos (which is hardly the same now is it!?) They seemed to reckon that all import TTs had been thrashed and trashed by their previous owners and would be nothing but trouble. I find this a…

I know it's a bit of an ask, but if anyone knows of a nice UK spec TT up for sale, please let me know! I have been looking around for a few weeks now, and they are pretty difficult to find, as I'm sure you all know! I would gladly consider an import (as long as it seemed in decent nick and unless I'm convinced otherwise - must admit a few garages I have spoken to claim all Jap TTs are dogs...) but the insurance quotes I have been getting for a Jap one are silly! The best I've had is nearly £1500 vs the best quote I've had for a UK one being £820!!! So either I need a UK one, or someone needs to give me the details of a decent import insurer (as far as I know I'v…

big thank you to phil at c&s wood for getting my gearbox sorted. The box died on me on the 29th of july, i got the breakdown to flatback it off to the garage on the same day and i got it back yesterday, week and a half turnaround, pretty good id say for a full box overhaul and 2 year warranty. I must say the new box is better than its ever been and i would strongly recommend c&s wood to anyone, nothing is too much trouble and your car even gets a wash. Shame they dont clean the inside aswell , just kidding matey, cheers for everything.

ok time has come for me to install a turbo timer, im fed up of sitting in the car on my drive waiting for it to cool down every night and i like to treat her right. Basically something which will calculate cooldown time reliably and also have a manual mode is all i need. Also for it to have an inbuilt speedo and RPM display would be a bonus and 0-60 timer. Anyone got any recommendations? ones that are easy to install, i know jaylox had a bitch of a time with his Mike
