Can anybody tell me if this is correct

my car is a uk tt AUTO when i floor it in 1st it will not change into 2nd until way after she has hit the rev limiter!!

is this correct?

P.S all the guys who replied to my smoke under the bonnet prob thanx a bunch i seem to have got over that prob once again the forum has done it again

7000rpm is the rev limit, but the tacho goes to about 7600, i presume its down to innacuracy.

 

You'll have to get advice from the others cos i wouldnt know how the car drives now would i

You'll also plop your pants the first time you hit the limiter...
