I am going to be doing a big service on my car soon and I know its a good oppertunity to fit an underdrive pulley. I have looked through all the past post but can't seem to find a solid answer. I have heard they can be bad for you car, is this just a true and in what way do they damage the engine? Cheers guys, Justin ;)

Hi, I'm afraid its another speedo question! I have had my zed since January now and this issue has bothered me ever since. When I imported the car my agents took care of all the Uk conversions for me. All has been satisfactory apart from the odometer conversion. What they did was fit one of these electronic boxes so the speedo is all correctly calibrated to use the JDM dials. All they did was black out the "k" on the "kmh". The thing that bugs me is that the odometer is clocking up in miles now and not in kilometers. I mean it all looks a bit dodgy when I eventually come to sell it and I have to tell them that some of the odometer reading was run up in ki…

Morning all, Am going to try to take out my speedo housing today as i have a new surround to go in, how do i take the whole lot out so i can take off the plastic front to put on the new surround? Probably simple but then again maybe not so i dont want to break anything. Thanks everyone. Ant :D

Can anyone tell what size the factory speakers are and what size i can put in the origonal positions don't want an overly obvious install but want to replace the factory speakers with something a better. Neil

Does the ECU need to be reset when changing the chip? If so is there any other way of doing it rather than disconecting the battery for 2 hours. Cheers Scott

91 n/a auto has a problem with the auto box not changing at correct point much too high also on occassion engine at idle will rise to 1500rpm or so on its own. Had auto box itself checked by local specialist who said box itself was OK, have also fitted new tps with no effect. car was put on diagnostics and it seemed to be getting a spurious reading to the speedo & ecu even when tps unplugged car has been fitted with speedo conversion at some time also this problem has gone away once and is now back, when box changes at correct point the car is a joy to drive. The problem seems to be the signal to ecu maybe being corrupted and also has something to …

Just fitted set of white dails looks nice BUT the forking rev and speedo are not working .Any help may be a fuse or what :(

is it possible to lose boost through PCV pipes? i.e. split pipe?

I pulled up at the lights right next to ya in my Punto rental by the Esso garage leading onto the A8 near the airport Friday about 5ish. Tried to get the window down to introduce myself as I saw your stickers, but the lights went and you cruised off. Cheered me up no end though seeing that zed as had a hell of day. Are there any Zed specialists West/ South WQest London / Surrey way? It's gonna cost me so, soo much if I need to put my car on a flatbed, and so want to tow it, but can only tow the Auto 20 miles at 20mph without risking damage to the auto box. Cheers, David

Hi Guys Have got a water leak today :( But it looks like its gonna be a bitch to find as I can only see steam! comming up from the area just below the plenium on the passenger side and its from the gap where the first (nearest bumper) spark plug goes, Anybody any ideas as how many pipes there are around there, or a diagram of the water circuit in that area. Any help would be much appreated :bow: probally a loose jubaliee clip cos theres no spay just steam. I dont really want to try to take the plenium off as I may make a compleate balls of it! got a set of aftermarket guages to fix this weekend water temp,oil temp and boost can anybody send me links or picture on how to do these so it does not take all weekend :bow: :bow:

Does anybody know if i can replace the o2 connectors with spade connectors, or similar? Having loads of grief from the connectors, runs fine one day, then codes 33/53 the next :confused: Has been given the ok on a conzult, then the connectors play up again, once they're cleaned up they're fine for a while. Any suggestions?

I have purchased some standard, Jap spec Z32 calipers (early UK also) to replace my iron ones. Question is: are these going to fit exactly the same as the Iron UK caliper, or will some kind of spacer be needed to move the disk out a bit (as Ive been advised) and if so what size spacer? or to put it another way, Do early UK cars (and Jap spec cars) require a slightly different disk from later UK cars due to the change in caliper from the Alloy (sumitomo Nissan) caliper to the Iron Nissan caliper?

How many litres of paint would it take to re spray a Zed. Lets say with three coats... Cheers

how can you tell how wide your alloys are as i want to put wider rubber on the rear they are 17" CMS alloys fitted in Japan with 235's at the rear std alloys in japan are 8" i think and UK was 8.5 whats the widest i can go on these widths can i just measure the width of the wheel?

hi there guys ok then my zed is smoking blue smoke like a bitch!! new turbos fitted last year and running 13.5 psi also using the turbo technics breather kit!! zed has been in garage for a few months and only allowd to idle for 10 mins at a time!! only noticed the smoke after i fitted new airfilters instead of the se-nissan maxiflow paper filters!! replaced with wopping pair of k&n. after i noticed the smoke i pulled off the inlet hoses and intercooler pipe and they were full of oil!!! the oil had worked its way to the airfilters somehow!! it seems the oil is being drawn from the breathers to the inlet pipe!! i have removed the…
