Just fitted these lovely looking pineapple rings to my rear subframe. They were fairly easy to fit as they came with reasonable instructions. The results? Slightly increased transmission noise (as was expected), more precise handling but not (and this is the main reason I bought them) the eradication of axle tramp/wheel hop :(. Still, it was worth a try! Jon

Any ideas chaps? Ive heard (and seen for myself, comparing to beemer 100/50 watt bulbs) they aint all that, ive seen people do weird things with extra wiring from the battery and this HID stuff...is there anything simpler/cheaper/better? Shame though cos one of the reasons i love the zx is cos of the quality look the lights have on the car...

Failed on front cross member corrosion (front strut bar below Rad?) . My machanic needs to know how he can get to it easily, does it involve removing the water rad and all the other rad's oil and aircon, or can they just be loosened and moved to one side? Also aprox how long will it take to get to the cross member as he can't give me a price on repair until he gets a rough idea? Cheers.

Does anyone know of a write up on how to install a HKS Super AFR and 2 MAF's? Just need to know how to join the MAF's into the AFR really. It might be in the manual but I haven't got it yet...

The car is using a Doolz twin POP intake with a single AFM and custom chip with 555's. The engine runs OK when being revved but when idling the revs rise and fall and it stumbles a bit. The strange thing is it was very windy last night and it seemed to do it every time the wind blew hard. The clutch isn't working so it's stationery but i don't know how it would be when moving. Has anyone noticed this problem? I'm wondering if the wind blowing on the unmetered bank of the engine is making a difference and fitting my AFR and a second AFM will sort it?

Had the Z running for a while last night and I was getting a lot of smoke out of the exhaust. Grey smoke that initially was from both pipes but settled down to just the passenger side. Revving the car made it worse. It was like this for a good 20mins until I decided to go get some Optimax as what's in the tank was over a year old. When I filled it up and started it again the smoke soon disappeared. Any ideas what it might be?

In the downpour last night, the car is stuttering all over again, popped off the headlamp panel and sat in the splash tray is a pool of water which is obviously being sucked into the filter. If water is getting in here (its a 2 large vent front panel) is it likely I need new rubbers either side for the headlamp panel? I know the one that pushes up against the bonnet is split, but I dont know about the lower one? Does anyone have a set they want to get rid off? Thanks

Anyone bought ever one of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7908047891&category=33591 This is in the US, how much do these kits go for over here? To get a nice grip and lose the twitchy back end, what would most recommend? I will be definetely getting traction control. So coilovers, hicas eliminator & traction control about cover getting the best road handling out of your Z?

White Zx with Irish? plates left in lay-by on Mobberley road, Knutsford for two nights running. Not a good place to park up. Must assume it's a stolen / dumped affair, also Cheshire police are very adept at leaving things where they found them! So it will probably be there for a while.
