After seeing another thread about a "fuel pump that sounds like a wasp" im a bit worried if mine aint gonna get me ta Billing! Should it buzz, mines not loud but it makes a lot more noise than my Audi's and the pitch varies too :( Also ive heard that if the fuel pressure aint right it could bugger a piston :eek: am i worrying too much or should i change it? :confused:

Hi does anyone know if it's possible to put electric seats from the LWB into a SWB. What additional wiring would be required - is it just a 12v feed to the seat or is there more to it than that??? Also if anyone has tweed seats in a lightish blue that they don't need then I know a man who could make use of them................. Cheers

Finally got round to bleeding the clutch at the weekend but I'm having problems getting the car into gear. This is a manual conversion and I haven't got the car running yet. Should I be able to put it in all the gears when the engine is off? I can't get 5th or reverse and some of the others are a bit hit and miss. The box worked fine off the car. Clutch pedal still feels really spongy and only stiffens up when fully pressed.

I'm planning on buying a 300 in the near future but am a bit worried about buying a car that is over ten years old. I know the old s13 200sx's are getting quite rusty aroung the tailgates etc, so where should I be looking specifically on the 300. Thanks for any advice :dance:

hi... i am wondering if i can fit the cheaper piston type dumpvalves (the kind that you would find rs turbo/cosworth owners fitting to there cars) that cost around 70 pound each, or do i have to fit jap/american type blow off valves that cost about 200 pound each?... if i can fit the cheaper type dv's does anyone know what additional things i will need...

Has any of you creative modify chaps got any ideas about the black stuff they put over this chrome trim and what can be done to either get rid of it (without scratching it) or get it resealed? All the cars ive been looking at you are beginning to see the chrome underneath and it looks messy... Any ideas? Cheers, Rob

One of the two connectors on the IAA unit - the white one. Wiggle wiggle wiggle CLICK HISS lovely smooth idle, wiggle it some more CLICK hissing stops engine really struggles. The reason I thought I might have dodgy connections elsewhere is because there are two coil pack connectors and the TPS connector all in the same outer casing - so if I wiggle any of those it actually wiggles this white connector! Is this the AAC connector or is that the yellow one? Don't think it's owt to do with FICD because I have similar probs whether A/C turned on or off. None of those hoses are cracked or split - just took them all off for a good look-see whilst they were wa…

ok so after i cleaned all conectors and swapped my ptu I found that I had alot more power but am now getting my cat over heat light coming on. so i've now decided to de-cat the beast and got intouch with the local garage that says they will do it but dont know how many cats the z has nor do they know anywhere I can get replacement pipes from. so firstly is there 1 or 2 cats (Iv looked and I think i can see 2) on the zed, and secondly do any of the leicester boys know of a local place where i can get replacement pipes from??? :D

I have a 92 TT jap import, bought it a few months ago and the cruise was not working (not that it matters). I was told that as it has been de restricted and this is the reason?? ...has a greddy speed limiter cut controller in the passenger footwell...fuse is OK All lights come on when you switch it on so any ideas as if its there it may as well be working!! Appreciate your help!

both rear wheels can be wiggled quite easily when they're in the air. I've read loads and it seems to be the inner or outer part of the HICAS arms. How can I confirm which one it is?

I've got an MOT coming up but my drivers side rear light cluster is covered in cracks. Is this an MOT failure? If so, can you just replace the cover to this or do I need a whole new cluster? Cheers

Hi People , ive just had my 3G brake conversion fitted :tongue: and all was well until about a week or so, now the brakes are squeeling like a pig on market day ,( around town driving ) and on a run up the motorway some pillock in a saxo pulled in front of me causing me to slam my anchors on, the steering wheel was nearly twisted out of my grasp with the violence of the steering juder :shock: ( i was doing a highly illegal 120mph ) it doesnt happen at lower speeds 30 / 40 mph but at those speeds the squeeling brakes makes people think a double decker bus is pulling up :cry: , please any advice is appreciated fellas, could it be a warped disc after only two we…

Ever since ive had my car the heater force out of the various vents on the car has never blown with any force even though the heater fan is definately blowing at full speed. My air-con has been disconected in the past by a previous owner and there appears to be some ham-fisted attempt at getting the black 'air box ?' out from behind the glove box (the one next to the blower moter & intake), with some damage sustained resulting in some air leaks around the joints. :mac1: I have no errors on the aircon/heater diag and the fan operates correctly on the other tests in the diag modes, also the 'flap/door' behind the middle vent can be seen moving and directing ai…
